    Day by Day
  • Day 01
    Arrival in Hanoi

    Upon arrival in Noi Bai International Airport, you will meet our guide and driver outside the customs. After a warm greeting, the driver will take you to the hotel we booked for you. Check in the hotel with the help of our guide and get some rest. Then your 14-day Vietnam tour will begin immediately.

    Our guide will lead you to Hanoi Opera House first. Usually there are classical music living shows for you to enjoy, and the gorgeous decoration of the opera house is also worth seeing. Then we will reach the Old Quarter, where sells various goods including shoes, hats and leathers. Each street of the Old Quarter only has one particular kind of products for sale. That is an exactly distinctive spot and you can surely find favorable souvenirs here. Then head for Hoan Kiem Lake. Local people often go for a walk over there for leisure and recreation. It is also a perfect place for you to relax yourself. The next stop is Ngoc Son Temple, which is an ancient building with over 100 years' history.

    When finishing the visit of the day, we will arrange you a big dinner in a local restaurant. After that, our guide will escort you back to the cozy hotel.

  • Day 02
    Hanoi Tour - Night Train to Lao Cai

    Today's private Vietnam tour begins with Ba Dinh Square. Located in the city center, Ba Dinh Square is one of the landmarks of this city. It is also a place for holding major ceremonies and rallies. Then you will be led to the West Lake, the biggest lake in Hanoi to view the beautiful scenery. After hiking in the West Lake area, we will visit Ho Chi Minh's Former Residence, Stilt House and Presidential Palace in succession. Then proceed to the One Pillar Pagoda, where a temple is built on one single stone pillar in the middle of a pond. After that, we will go southwards to the Temple of Literature built in 1070, which is said to be the first college in Vietnam. This place is also for people to worship the great Confucius.

    After that, continue to visit the Museum of Ethnology, which fully demonstrates the diversity of Vietnamese culture for it shows arts and folk customs from multi perspectives. On the south bank of the West Lake lies the Quan Thanh Temple. The style of the building is much similar to Chinese temples, yet some decorations such as exquisite artistic carvings reflect the Vietnamese architecture characteristics in the meanwhile. Then we will go to Tran Quoc Pagoda. It is listed as a national historical and cultural heritage with great cultural and historical value.

    Before leaving for the next city - Lao Cai, we will arrange you a puppet show with about 1,000 years' history at Thang Long Water Puppet Theater. That is the quintessence of Vietnam culture and worth a look.

    After that, our guide will take you to the railway station and help you board the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai.

  • Day 03
    Lao Cai - Sapa

    Upon arrival, you will meet the experienced guide of the coming Lao Cai tour at the station and then be escorted to the hotel in Sapa. After some rest, we will lead you to hike through two famous villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai. This hiking will not disappoint you for it provides a great chance for you to appreciate the beautiful terraced rice fields stretching continuously in the valley. Besides, you can have a glimpse of local people's life and participate in the unique village activities there.

  • Day 04
    Sapa - Lao Cai - Night Train to Hanoi

    Today, we will explore the villages of H'mong, Dzao and Dazy people surrounding Sapa. There are three routes for you to choose, measuring 2 miles, 3.7 miles, and 7.5 miles. You can pick any of them according to your physical condition or preference. It is a great way for you to view the beautiful landscape and experience the local folk customs.

    After that, we will transfer you to Lao Cai to take the overnight train to Hanoi.

  • Day 05
    Hanoi - Halong Bay - Overnight on Cruise

    Upon arrival, you will meet our guide and driver at the station exit and then take a comfortable ride to the nearby Cosiana Hotel to have breakfast and take a short rest. After that, you will be transferred to the Halong Bay which takes about 3.5 hours and get onboard the Indochina Sails Cruise ship.

    In the afternoon, reach one of the caves among Thien Cung, Dau Go and Sung Sot onshore. You can view colorful and bizarre stalactites over there. Then the remainder of the day is free for you. You can either continue to leisurely enjoy the scenery on the ship or join some recreational activities, such as go kayaking, swimming and diving.

  • Day 06
    Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue

    You may get up early to have a Tai Chi class or enjoy the morning tea or coffee. After that, a small boat will be arranged to take you to neighboring islands for sightseeing. Return to Indochina Sails Cruise to have brunch. At about noon, this Halong Bay trip will end at the Halong Bay wharf. Our guide will pick you up and accompany you to the Hanoi Airport and help you board the flight to Hue. After landing, the local guide will send you to the hotel.

  • Day 07
    Hue City Tour

    After breakfast, we will go to the Imperial City, located at the center of the old city of Hue. It is an imperial citadel with over 200 years’ history. The next stop, Hue Royal Palace, is the Forbidden City of Hue. The whole construction is quite spectacular, and it is also the most complete ancient building complex in Vietnam.

    Then we will go to the Tomb of Tu Duc, which is pretty like a garden. The most prominent feature is the grand building’s harmonious incorporation with its surroundings. Here comes the last stop of the Hue tour, Dong Ba Market, which is famous for rice paper and silk painting. You can buy some as souvenirs for your relatives and friends.

  • Day 08
    Hue - Danang - Hoian

    Our guide will accompany you to reach the Thien Mu Pagoda after a short boat trip. The pagoda is renowned for its extraordinary status as the imperial temple. Then you will be led to visit the Tomb of Minh Mang built in 1843. The picturesque construction is situated beside a peaceful lake.

    After having lunch, take a 3.5 hours' car ride to Hoian. Along the way, we will overlook one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world at Hai Van Pass, and visit Cham Museum where collects numerous cultural relics of Cham. Then we will visit the handicraft villages near Marble Mountain. You can learn the manufacturing process of the crafts closely in those villages. After arriving in Hoian, we will drive you to the hotel to check in.

  • Day 09
    Hoian - My Son

    Today we will arrange you a relaxing morning excursion to My Son Valley, where lies the biggest religious site of Cham Dynasty (192 - 1802). It is also the most important religious shrine in Southeast Asia. Serenely standing in the valley, this exquisite but crumbling temple complex is the cultural heritage of that ancient kingdom. 

    The arrangement for the remainder of the day is totally up to you. You can further explore the Hoian Ancient Town by viewing some places you are interested in.

  • Day 10
    Hoian - Danang - Saigon (Ho Chi Ming City)

    Today you will leave for Saigon by air. Our guide will escort you to Danang Airport and help you board the plane. After landing, the guide of the coming Saigon tour will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel to have a short break.

    Later, we will take you to the Reunification Palace, which was once the presidential palace. Then we will walk to visit the War Remnants Museum. You can have a better understanding of the history of the Vietnam War (1955 - 1975) by viewing those helicopters, bombs and the photos taken during that time. Next we will reach the Notre Dame Cathedral. It is a landmark building of the city, built in 19th century. The City Post Office is just opposite the cathedral. This French-style building was built at the end of the 19th century and was the first post office in Ho Chi Minh City during French colonial period. You can pick some post cards and send them back home there.

    Then here comes the last stop of today, the Ben Thanh Market, which is the largest trading market in the city. Diversified souvenirs are sold here, and also you can bargain with those local sellers.

  • Day 11

    After finishing breakfast, we will take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which is one of the main historical remains in Saigon. It looks like an underground village including wells, granaries, meeting rooms, as well as dormitories. After that, we will arrange you an excursion to Cao Dai Temple. After Buddhism and Catholicism, Cao Dai is the third most common and popular religion in Vietnam. This exotic temple combines the Gothic spires and Chinese-style carvings and it's really worth a visit.

    Then our guide will take you back to the downtown at the end of the day.

  • Day 12
    Saigon - Mekong Delta - Cai Be - Vinh Long - Can Tho

    This morning we will go sightseeing on the Mekong Delta. First take a car for 2 hours to reach Cai Be, and visit the Cai Be Floating Market by boat. Here locals usually exchange and sell goods on the boats. Then we will go to a riverside village to view the traditional workshops. You can learn how to produce the rice paper and coconut candy, and get a close contact with native people's life there.

    Later, we will arrange you a hearty lunch in a local restaurant. After that, continue to appreciate the gorgeous tributaries of the Mekong River and visit local villages onshore. Then we will head for Vinh Long to disembark. Our guide will then take you to Can Tho and help you check in the hotel.

  • Day 13
    Can Tho - Floating Market - Saigon

    In the morning, we will arrive at Cai Rang in about 1 hour by boat. Upon arrival, have fun on Cai Rang Floating Market, the biggest and most colorful floating market of Mekong Delta. After that, the guide will send you back to the hotel in Saigon.

  • Day 14
    Saigon Departure
