13 Days Trip of Namibia: Windhoek - Kalahari desert - Fish river Canyon - Luderitz - Namib desert - Swakopmund - Damaraland - Etosha Area - Etosha national park Should you rather want to travel Namibia more comfortable and flexible with the means of a small plane this can also be tailor made to your specifications. The aircraft, usually a Cessna 210 or a Cessna 402 for larger groups, and the pilot stay with the group throughout. The tour includes the most highlights in Namibia, Sossusvlei, the Skeleton Coast from Meob Bay to the Huab River, Swakopmund, The Damaraland Camp and Ongava.

  • Day 01
    Arrival in Namibia

     Day 01: Arrival in Namibia
    Take a flight to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, and then check in and have a rest in the hotel. Windhoek is not only the world famous commercial center of fur of Karakul lamb, but also has well developed textile and food process industries. It preserves three medieval Germany castles in one of which sets the famous Cultural & History Museum. If you arrive early, you can have a tour there.

  • Day 02
    Kalahari Desert

    Today, you are going to tour in Kalahari Desert. The land has few rises and falls, but a plain full of sand. West part of the desert features in its long dune ranges which mostly head to north or northwest. You will spend the whole day travelling this district, and during it you can also see lots of wild animals.

  • Day 03
    Fish river Canyon

    Drive to the south to see the unique Quiver Tree forest which is a hot place for shutterbugs. After arriving at the camp, you are going to have a rest there, and meanwhile enjoy the beautiful sunset.

  • Day 04

    This morning, you will leave the edge of Fish river Canyon for Luderitz. During the trip, you will also visit the Great Escarpment and magnificent plain region of Namib Desert. And you will also pass by Prohibited Diamond Area where you will visit Diaz Cross. At last, you will arrive in Luderitz.

  • Day 05
    Namib Desert

    In the morning, you will depart from Luderitz to go to Namib Desert to have a visit. It is also the way to Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei. In the evening, you will stay in the campsite of Namib Desert.

  • Day 06
    Namib Desert

    Today, you are going to continue your tour in Namib Desert. Get up early in the morning so that you can appreciate the spectacular sunrise. In the following, you can join different kinds of desert games. After that, you will also go to visit Sesriem Canyon which lies in the core area of Namib Desert.

  • Day 07

    You will reach Swakopmund after passing through Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons in the morning. In the end of 18th century and the early of 19th century, Swakopmund is a Germany colonial center so the construction of the whole city is based on the Germany style and till now the streets here have kept the Germany names. It is a seaside resort with a museum built in 1951. It enjoys the name of City of Summer with the city embraced by beach and different levels of vacation village.

  • Day 08

    Today is planned to go on your idyllic trip in the Swakopmund. You may arrange the activities on your own, such as going shopping, having a taste of local food, or enjoying sunshine and beach.

  • Day 09

    Continue your journey to the north. On the way, you will stop by Cape Cross to see the great scenery of the Atlantic. Then you will pass by Bandberg, the highest mountain of Namibia. In the end, you will arrive in Damaraland, the habitat of precious desert elephants.

  • Day 10
    Etosha Area

    In the morning, you are going to visit Twyfelfontein, a heritage of a local people where there are 2500 pieces of carved wall painting with a history of 6000 years. Then, proceed to visit Burnt Mountain, Petrified Forest, Organ Pipes and many other unique landscapes. At last you will go to the hotel near world famous Etosha national park.

  • Day 11
    Etosha national park

    Today’s tour will take you to visit Etosha national park. It is the most famous scenic spot in Namibia, and also the biggest one among ten national parks. There are more than 110 kinds of mammal animals which have endangered species, and over 300 kinds of birds 1/3 of which are migrant birds. The changes of seasons in Etosha national park impact the activities of wild animals, thus an interesting animal migration chain forms. It is forbidden to hunt in the park so that precious animals like rhinoceros wouldn’t be killed for its horns. And that’s why the park is their paradise. In the mean time, it becomes an attractive spot for tourists in Namibia.

  • Day 12
    Etosha Area

    You will enter into Etosha Area national park again today. Due to its large area, you are sure to receive different gain in this trip.

  • Day 13
    Departure from Namibia

    Drive to the south to see the mining industry center of Namibia, and then visit Lake Otjikoto. After that, you will pass by African handicraft art center in Okahandja, and then return to Windhoek. Upon arrival in Windhoek, you will go to the airport and take a flight leaving Namibia.
