    Luang Prabang Tour

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Town of Luang Prabang is renowned for its fascinating Buddhist culture. Although not very big in scale, it is brimmed with ancient Buddhist temples and today's tour would definitely include some famous ones. After breakfast, follow our guide to Wat Sene, a Thai-style Buddhist temple built in 1718 with towering and gilded halls.

Then head for Wat Xieng Thong, also called Temple of the Golden City, which is well known for a mosaic of the Tree of Life on a dark red wall. Afterwards, we will take a boat to Pak Ou Caves where thousands of Buddha statues are stored. En route, we will stop by Ban Xang Hai Village, also known as Whiskey Village. There you can have an opportunity to taste Lao-Lao, a local rice wine.

On the way back to downtown, we will take a short stop at Ban Phanom Village to observe the locals dyeing and weaving silk. Then follow the guide to visit some magnificent temples, namely Wat Wisunarat, Wat Aham, and Wat Mai. Our last spot is the Royal Palace Museum, the former residence of the imperial family of Laos during 1904 - 1975. Besides glorious buildings, the museum also has a large collection of national treasures, including paintings, historical photos, religious objects, and Buddha statues. When you finish the visit, our driver will transfer you back to the hotel.

    Luang Prabang Tour

The Alms Giving Ceremony is a 500-year-old traditional custom in Luang Prabang. Every morning, the local people will kneel devoutly along the street holding fresh sticky rice, and wait for the saffron-robed monks come to receive the food. Get up early this morning and our guide will lead you to attend this ceremony.

Afterward, return to the hotel and enjoy breakfast. Then we will set out to have a morning stroll at Phousi Market, the largest fresh food market in the town. The rest of the morning is free for your own arrangement.

After lunch, our guide will take you to the Ban Ouay Village to have a look of the ethnic people's life. Then we will proceed to the Kuang Si Falls. There are several pools beneath the waterfall for visitors to swim and dabble. After that, stop at Ban Xang Khong Village to observe how the Laos traditional Saa Jute Paper is made before going back to the hotel.
