5 Days Tour of Cambodia: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

  • Day 01
    Arrival in Phnom Penh

    Upon arrival in the capital of Cambodia - Phnom Penh, you will be transferred to the hotel to check in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax yourself and recover from of the jet lag.

  • Day 02
    Phnom Penh - Siem Reap

    After breakfast, you are going to visit a unique building in Cambodia -Silver Pagoda. This pagoda was built between 1892 and 1902. It adopted traditional Khmer architecture style, but decorated in strong Siam flavor. In the pagoda, hundreds of pieces of national silver and gold treasures are displayed. Then you will head for the Independence Monument. Set up in 1958, the monument was built to commemorate Cambodia being independent from French colonies. It symbolizes the period of history in which Cambodia had been struggling for independence through great hardship. After lunch, you will visit Mt. Tazi. As the cradle of Phnom Penh, the mountain bears a height of about 100 meters and on its top stands statue of Lady “Ben” (also penh in English), which is one of the Cambodia’s symbols. Standing on top of the mountain, you can overlook and enjoy views of the whole city. After that we will drive to Siem Reap.

  • Day 03
    Siem Reap

    The morning tour will begin with one of the World’s Seven Wonders-Angkor Wat. As the largest temple in the world, Angkor Wat is the best-preserved temple among those Angkor historical relics and famous for its grand architecture and delicate-embossed relief sculpture. We will go to Angkor Thom first. There are five city gates altogether in The Angkor Thom, on each carved with four statues of Buddha and they are called “Cambodia’s Smile” by the world. Then we will lead you to the Bayon Temple and Terrace of the Elephants, a large pagoda is composed of 54 pagodas of different sizes. After that, you will continue to visit the Ta Prohm Temple. The famous Hollywood movie Tomb Raider1 was filmed here and the temple itself has an enormous appeal. After finishing all the sightseeing, you will get back to the hotel for a good meal and rest. 

  • Day 04
    Siem Reap

    Today, we will head for the capital city Angkor Wat. Here we will visit the smiley-face Erawan Shrine in Bayon Temple. Then continue to the Banteay Srei that was built in the 10th century. Banteay Srei, also reputed as ‘Queen Palace’, is noted for red sandstone and delicate stone carving art. It ranks the finest among all the stone carving works in Angkor, or more of the most excellence in Cambodia, hence it wins a highly-reputed name “Jewel in Angkor Art”. At nightfall, you will go and enjoy a beautiful sunset in Bakheng. Along with the sun sets, you are going to look at a whole view of Angkor Wat.

  • Day 05
    Siem Reap - Phnom Penh - Departure from Cambodia

    First you will visit the Angkor Culture and Art School, which was established in cooperation with Cambodia’s Education Department and French government to preserve Angkor Wat’s ancient civilization and art. Here you are sure to have a whole grasp of ancient civilization during Angkor Dynasty. Return to Phnom Penh after lunch. Then you are scheduled for free activities, you may take this time to purchase some souvenirs for your family or friends. After dinner, you will head to the airport to take the flight leaving from Cambodia. There comes a splendid end to this Cambodia journey!
