    Arrival in Negombo

    Welcome to Sri Lanka! When you arrive at the Colombo International Airport and walk out of the customs, you will find our driver guide waiting for you at the exit with a warm smile. After a brief greeting, we will transfer you to Negombo and assist you to check into a well-selected hotel. Situated in the west of the country, Negombo is a harbor city famous for its local fish market and beautiful beach. If arrive early, you can make use of the rest of the free time to explore the city a bit on your own or just sit on the beach to enjoy the stunning sunset.

    Negombo - Dambulla - Sigiriya

    Your private Sri Lanka tour starts today. We will pick you up from your hotel this morning and transfer you to Dambulla. A visit to the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage is arranged on the way to Dambulla. This is a sanctuary established to save and protect the homeless elephants, and train them to do some works as well. Go ahead to extend your visit to the Dambulla Cave Temple, also called the Golden Temple of Dambulla by locals. As the biggest and most complete existing cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, it attracts the pilgrims from the world with its exquisite frescoes and carved stone statues. After having lunch at a nice local restaurant, we will head to Habarana and experience an elephant ride if you are interested. Finally, we will arrive at the Ancient City of Sigiriya for two-night stay.

    Sigiriya is a famous cultural heritage site about 160 kilometers away from Colombo. It is the best preserved city center with traditional architectures of Sri Lanka for thousand years in Asia and was also added to the World Heritage List in 1982. Among the numerous attractions, Lion Rock at Sigiriya is one place that visitors should never miss. We will spend the whole morning at this site to appreciate the world-famous mural and have a panoramic view of the city from the top. After that, continue the journey to Polonnaruwa where you can have a chance to see the ancient heritage sites and get a deep insight into the history of the country leisurely by bike. We would like to remind you that the hats and shoes should be taken off before going inside, so please prepare a pair of thick socks to protect you from the baking-hot floor in hot weather. Get back to the hotel at the end of the day.

    Sigiriya - Kandy

    Today, we set off for Kandy. Have a brief visit at a Spice Garden on the way. Then visit a Hindu temple at Matale. Kandy, the second biggest city of Sri Lanka, is located in the valley covered by dense forest and surrounded by a beautiful lake. A traditional Cultural Show is specially arranged for you in the late afternoon.

    The morning excursion will take you to visit the Temple of the Tooth and the Gem Museum. Temple of the Tooth is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. It is impressive to see local people coming with fresh flower like white lotus flower or purple water lilies to offer Buddha. If you happen to travel during July and August, you will have opportunity to participate in the grand holiday parades which is held to honor the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. The last stop today is the Royal Botanical Garden. It is a fantastic place where you can find more than 4,000 kinds of plants and flowers from home and abroad, including some very rare type of the tropical plants.

    Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

    After a hearty breakfast, we resume our trip to Nuwara Eliya, one of the most popular tourist destinations among travelers for its pleasant climate and attractive sceneries. When travel to Sri Lanka, tea plantation is a must see place. Today we will take you to visit a tea factory to learn the tea culture and tea making process. It is also a nice experience to sip a cup of tea and enjoy the stunning views of the tea fields. Check in at the hotel we reserved upon arrival at Nuwara Eliya, then you can utilize the remaining time of the day to walk around the city to find something new.

    Nuwara Eliya - Ella

    We will meet you at your hotel and then drive to Nanu Oya Railway Station for a train to Ella this morning. The gorgeous mountain scenery and tea gardens along the way will make you journey relaxed and happy. We will not accompany you on the train but wait for you at the railway station at Ella. Next, we continue to visit the famous Ella Gap to enjoy the breathtaking natural sceneries and then move on to the Little Adams Peak for a two hours' hiking experience. After finished the tour, we will help you to check into a local hotel.

    Ella - Tangalle

    Today we will escort you to Tangalle as the final destination of this 8-day Sri Lanka tour. Before going there, there are still some sightseeing attractions worth your visiting. The first one is the Ravana Waterfalls, which is a small waterfall with a height of about 30 meters. Have a short stop there and then go on to visit the Yala National Park. Covering an area of 979 square kilometers, this park is a heaven for those who are animal lovers as you can see a great number of rare wildlife including elephant, peacock, deer, crocodile and various kinds of birds. Afterwards, we will transfer you to the Marakolliya Beach at Tangalle to spend time with your family or friends. Our service ends here. Hope you have had a great time with us in Sri Lanka.
