    Arrival in Romania

    You will fly to Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Bucharest is pronounced as Bucuresti in Romanian, with the meaning of happy city. Upon arrival, you will take a taxi to check in the hotel and have a rest to adjust the jet lag.

    Bucharest - Sighisoara

    First, you will look around in Bucharest and appreciate its history and modernism. You are going to visit Parliaments Palace, the second biggest government official building in the world and only after Pentagon in the United States. After that, you will go to see open air Village Museum in the north part of the city. In the afternoon, on the way to Sighisoara, you will stop in Sinaia to visit Peles Castle. It used to be Romanian kings’ imperial summer resort, and lots of people believe that it is the most beautiful castle in Romania.

    The heart of Transylvania

    Sighisoara is a travel and summer resort with castles, bell tower, churches and other relics built between 13th and 15th century. During the trip to Sibiu, you will visit the castle in Biertan, which is also one of the most important Saxon fortifications in the south region of Transylvania. After arriving in Sibiu, you are going to visit the Evangelical Church, the old business center Small Square, gothic church and Liar’s Bridge, the first ironwork-built bridge in Romania. Return to Sighisoara after the visit.

    The heart of Transylvania - Maramures

    Travel to Targu Mures to have a whole view of the city first. You are going to visit the Culture palace which has colorized roof. Then drive to Cluj Napoca, which used to be the capital of the heart of Transylvania and now is one of the most significant economic, cultural and educational centers in Romania. Lots of spots there are worth visiting, including Church St. Michael, Reformed Church, St. Georges statue, Equestrian Monument of King Matei Corvin, national theater, Banffy Palace and so on. Today’s tour will come to an end in Baia Mare, the capital city of Maramures.

    In the morning, you will transfer to Sapanta by bus to visit Merry Cemetery. It is an unparalleled cemetery in the world. There are thousands of colorful wooden cemeteries arranged in order which have vivid simple drawings, also the description of dead persons’ profession in their lifetime and the reason of death. Then you will go to Lza Valley which still preserves lots of wooden constructions. There you will visit two wooden churches in Barsana and Bogdan Voda. After that, you will head to Bucovina.

    Bucovina is in Eastern Europe and it is ruled by Ukraine and Romania now. And it is the place which lies Moldavian art. Here, you will visit two of the five spots listed in the world cultural heritage, which are Moldovita Monastery and Voronet Monastery, also called “The Sistine Chapel of the East”. Then you will move forward to the border of Bucovina and Transylvania, passing through the adventurous Bicaz Gorges, you will arrive in the magnificent Red Lake. On the whole way, you can enjoy the most wonderful natural scenery in Romania.

    Brasov - Dracula Castle

    In the morning, you will take a ride to Brasov, an ancient city in the middle ages. After arrival, you will go sightseeing among the multiple scenic spots in the city, including Councilors Square, Black Church which is the biggest Catholic Church in Transylvania and also the biggest gothic church in southeast Europe, the ancient town hall and St. Nicholas Church. In the afternoon, you will go to visit Bran Castle, also called Dracula Castle which was built in 1377. In the late of 19th century, the Irish writer Bram Stoker wrote a famous novel named Dracula which has a background of this castle with vampire Count Dracula as its hero. Because of the story’s popularity, people have defined it as the castle of vampire.

    Departure from Romania

    After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport by taxi and leave from Romania by air.
