Shenzhen Tourism Festival to Held - Featuring the Sea Culture

News from Xinhua News, the sixth Shenzhen Gold Coast Tourism Festival will be held from October 26th to November 25th in Shenzhen.

The three highlights of this festival are Sand Beach Music Festival (October 26th-27th), International Kites Festival (October 27th-28th), and the First International Yacht and Equipment Exhibition (November 22nd- 25th).

Then, singing on the sand beach, surfing on the sea, and many other activities relevant to the sea are all to be possibly realized. Stars of the entertainment industry, Shui Mu Nian Hua, Zhang Chu, Ye Bei, Zhou Bichang, and Olympic champions, Zhang Guozheng, Li Na will all come to Shenzhen to meet visitors. Besides, 25 kite teams from 13 different countries will perform a live show of flying a 30-meter-long (33 yards) soft-bodied kite. Meanwhile, various yachts, luxurious cruise ships, and all kinds of water sports will make a splendid feast.

Additionally, activities such as Photography Contest and Gourmet Week will also be held during the festival.

CSA to Open Direct Flight from Guangzhou to Vientiane on Nov. 6th

China Southern Airlines (CSA) plans to open a direct air route from Guangzhou to Vientiane on Nov. 6th.

As the only air route from Guangzhou to Laos, it is also the fastest direct air line between China mainland and Laos. It will take two and a half hours for a single trip by Airbus 319. Two flights for the route will be operated for a week, on Tuesday and Friday. Flight CZ3507 leaves Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 08:50, Beijing Standard Time (GMT+8), and gets to Vientiane at 10:20, local time. The returning Flight CZ3058 takes off at 11:20, local time, and gets back to Guangzhou at 14:40, Beijing Standard Time.

The 7th Famen Temple Int'l Cultural Tourism Festival to Held

The 7th Famen Temple International Cultural Tourism Festival will be held in the Famen Temple, Baoji of Shaanxi Province during September 26th-28th.

The theme of the activity is memorizing the recurrence of Sakyamuni's finger bones and the 20th anniversary of the excavated treasures in the Famen Temple. It will fully show the Buddhist culture and the Tang Dynasty culture to the public.

Entry and Exit Procedures to Simplified as of Oct. 1st

It's reported that foreign or Chinese passengers who transit at a China mainland airport will not need to fill in entry and exit forms from October 1st. The criterion is that the passengers just stay at the intermediate airport for less than 24 hours, and they won't walk out of the restricted areas.

Yiwu-Hong Kong Air Line to Opened in Oct

An air route between Yiwu City of Zhejiang Province and Hong Kong will be opened on October 2nd, 2007.

Located in the center part of Zhejiang Province, Yiwu City enjoys the fame as 'the biggest small commodities wholesale market in the world'. The number and capital of Hong Kong-invested enterprises rank first among the foreign-invested enterprises in Yiwu City, so it is really necessary to open an air line between the two cities.
