WT-NP06:6 Days’ Hindu Tour of Nepal: Kathmandu - Chitwan - Pokhara - Jomsom - Muktinath

    Arrival in Kathmandu

    The guide will meet you at Kathmandu Airport and then transfer you to the hotel. A tour introduction will also be given today.

    Kathmandu is an old city with a long history of over one thousand years, and there are lots of Hindu buildings in the city. Today, you will visit the holy Pashupatinath, which is the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu and one of the four temples to worship Siva in Indian subcontinent. The next destination is the Budhanilkantha Temple – the landmark building of Nepal. After lunch,you will proceed to the Swoyambhunath Stupa, which is also called “monkey temple” because there are many monkeys on the way to this sacred temple. The last stop of the day is the Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a good place to appreciate temple buildings of Nepal.

    Kathmandu – Pokhara

    You will fly to Pokhara – “Switzerland of South Asia” this morning. Upon arrival, you will go to Trisuli River and experience the peculiar ‘white water rafting’ of Nepal. The next spots are the Devi’s Fall and the Fewa Lake. The north bank of Fewa Lake is the area where lots of tourists frequently gather together and is also the center of the whole scenic area. You could take a boat to view the lake.

    Pokhara – Jomsom – Muktinath

    You will take a flight to Jomsom today. Jomsom is one starting point of numerous hiking routes. You will take a bus to visit Muktinath – the holy place of Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism, where ascetic monks can be seen everywhere. Here, you will visit the way that Hindus worship and sing anthem and eulogize virtues.

  • Day
    Muktinath – Pokhara

    You will return to Pokhara by air. The rest of the day is free for your own leisure. You could explore the dribs and drabs of Hinduism in Pokhara.

  • Day
    Pokhara – Kathmandu

    When the Hindu trip in Nepal ends, you will fly back to Kathmandu and then board on your connecting flight to home.
