    Arrival in Luang Prabang

    Welcome to Luang Prabang and this 10-day Laos tour will start with this charming city. Our professional guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel to check in. After a rest, our guide will take you to Mount Phousi, the highest spot in downtown area. When you reach the summit, you may have a panoramic view of the Luang Prabang old town, as well as the beautiful scenery of Mekong River and Nam Khan River. It is noteworthy that Mount Phousi is a good place to watch the sunset. If weather permits, we can wait to appreciate the spectacular sunset. You may stroll in the night market after visiting the Mount Phousi and return to the hotel on your own.

    Luang Prabang Tour

    In the early morning, our guide will accompany you to watch the traditional Alms Giving Ceremony, which can be traced back to the 14th century. At sunrise, a huge number of monks from different temples collect their daily food from local citizens who kneel along the main street orderly. After seeing this unique scene, you will be sent back to the hotel to enjoy breakfast. After that, proceed to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and the Royal Palace Museum. The Royal Palace Museum holds a lot of valuable historical relics of Lan Xang Kingdom (1354-1707), including the priceless Prabang Buddha statue, various royal religious ornaments, as well as plenty of old paintings and historic pictures.

    After a big lunch, we will drive you to a picturesque waterfall group, Kuang Si Falls. There are several pools under the falls. In sunny days, the sunlight dapples the sparkling pools through leaves. This enchanting scenery can definitely drive away the fatigue.

    Luang Prabang

    Today our passionate guide will take you to cruise along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves. You may enjoy the natural scenery on Mekong River during the cruise. On the way, we'll visit Ban Xang Hai Village which is well-known for a local whiskey, Lao-Lao. Upon arrival at the Pak Ou Caves, you can see thousands of Buddha statues displayed there. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop by Ban Xang Khong Village to watch the making process of the traditional Saa Jute Paper.

    Luang Prabang - Xieng Khouang

    Today's private Laos tour will include an exploration of another beautiful city, Xieng Khouang. It could be enjoyable for you to appreciate the stunning scenery and some tribal villages along the way. The first destination of your Xieng Khouang tour is the Plain of Jars. It is regarded as one of the world’s unsolved mysteries. Today, our guide will take you to appreciate the Site 1 first, where more than 300 stone jars are widely distributed among the vast plain. Where these stone jars came from and what they were used for are still unknown.

    Xieng Khouang Tour

    In the morning, our guide will lead you to the Central Market to experience local residents' business life. Then, we will continue our unfinished exploration to the Site 2 and Site 3 of Plain of Jars. Relatively speaking, these two sites are better- persevered than the Site 1. Besides, you may have an agreeable experience with the idyllic scenery there. UXO MAG Exhibition Room is also on today’s to-do list. The tour guide will lead you to learn more about the local mine-clearance history. After that, you will be guided to the villages of Tai Dam people and Lao Leum people where you can enjoy the daily life of the local residents. Later, we will take you to explore Muang Khoun, the former provincial capital of Xieng Khouang.

    Xieng Khouang - Vientiane

    Our driver will escort you to the airport to catch your flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, our guide in Vientiane will pick you up at the airport and help you check in the hotel. After a short rest, the guide will take you to visit Wat Sisaket where more than 10,000 Buddha statues are enshrined. In addition, there is a Buddha statue made of around 4,400 pounds (2,000 kilograms) gold in the main hall. Then, our guide will transfer you to Wat Ho Phra Keo which works as a Sacred Art Museum. It holds diverse treasures of Laos including the king's throne, wood carvings, as well as gold, jade and crystal Buddha statues. Afterwards, we will visit the landmark of Laos, Pha That Luang Temple. As the holy land of Buddhism, it's said that the relics of Sakyamuni was buried under the golden stupa which is surrounded by 30 small golden pagodas. At last, we will pay a visit to Patuxai Victory Monument. The lifelike Buddha and mythological figures carved on the monument is a big highlight. You may also see colorful paintings of Buddhist mythological figures on the ceiling.

    Vientiane - Pakse

    Today we'll send you to the airport to catch your flight to Pakse. Our guide will meet you at the airport and take you to Saravane directly. En route, we will stop by Tateng Village to experience the local life, as well as watch the process of making tea and coffee. Later, our guide will lead you to appreciate the enchanting sceneries of Tad Lo Waterfall. We will also trek to some ethnic villages named Alak, Nge, and Katu. Afterwards, you will be sent back to the hotel.

    Pakse - Khong Island

    After breakfast, the guide will take you to visit Wat Phu Ruins. It was originally an important Hinduism temple and was then rebuilt to be a Buddhist holy site in the 13th century. You can still imagine the past prosperous scenes by viewing the remaining carvings and statues there. Then our guide will accompany you to go sightseeing among the 4,000 Islands Region on Mekong River by boat. Later, we will take a deep exploration of Khong Island, the biggest island of this region. The rest of the day, you may explore this charming island on your own. You will stay overnight on the island.

    Khone Island - Pakse

    After taking a morning stroll in nearby villages, our guide will accompany you to take a long tail boat to Liphi Waterfall. Keep boating to Khone Falls. It claims to be the largest fall in Southeast Asia with the highest point up to 70 feet or so. It also has the largest water flow rate in the world and you can take good pictures of turbulent water rushing down rapidly. Later, we will send you back to the Champasak Grand Hotel.

    Departure from Pakse
