WT-Egypt 01:7 Days Trip of Egypt along Nile: Cairo – Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu – Luxor – Red Sea – Alexandria

    Arrival in Cairo

    After arriving in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza which mainly comprises of Khufu, Khafra, Menkaura and Great Sphinx. And then you will pay a visit to the old but grand double-deck stone building—the Egyptian Museum. In 1858, it was built by the “Father of the Egyptian Museum”—the French archaeologist Mariette. When the tour ends, you will head for Aswan on a night train.

    You will board on the Nile Cruise Ship and finish check-in as soon as arriving in Aswan. During the rest of the day before departure, you will have a visit in Aswan City. Firstly, you could go to the Unfinished Obelisk, Aswan Dam and Lake of Nasser. And then you will be led to Philae Island for the noted Philae Temple. It is one of the three well-preserved temples which were built in Ptolemy Dynasty in ancient Egypt. Finally, you will return to the ship on time and start the 4-Day cruise along Nile.

    Abu Simbel – Kom Ombo – Edfu

    After breakfast, you will land on to visit the Temple of Abu Simbel. It has a history of 3,300 years and was the best-preserved remains in the Pharaohs era. The Temple of Kom Ombo, which you will visit next, is the only one temple that enshrines two gods in ancient Egypt, and it is two times larger than ordinary temples. After that, you will continue the cruise downstream to Edfu, where there is a visit to the Temple of Horus. This temple was built in 237BC and enshrines the deity Horus whose head likes a hawk.

    Edfu – Luxor

    This morning, the cruise will disembark in Luxor, on the east bank of Nile. After breakfast, you will go to visit the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak. The former one presents Luxor’s glorious history and the latter temple is one of the grandest ancient buildings in the world. While visiting the two temples, you can appreciate the splendid civilization of the ancient Egypt. After finishing the tour, you will return to go on the cruise.

    Luxor – Red Sea (Hurghada)

    Today is free for you to enjoy Red Sea completely on your own. After breakfast, you can watch the beautiful sunrise in the Red Sea, put out to sea by boat of which the bottom is transparent glass, or dive by the undersea boat to feel the wonderful underwater world. You could also visit the desert by jeep. Your Nile cruise will come to the end today, and then you will check in a hotel in Hurghada.

    Red Sea (Hurghada) – Cairo

    You will drive back to Cairo today. On the way, you can buy local specialties and souvenirs at essence and papyrus shops. After supper, you will check in a hotel in Cairo.

    Departure from Cairo

    After breakfast you will move to Alexandria to visit Montaza Palace. It was the summer resort for the Egyptian royalty, so it was called “The Egyptian Summer Palace”. Next you will visit the famous Pompeys Pillar and the Library of Alexandria, which was built in 259BC and is one of the largest and the oldest libraries in the world. After you finish today’s visit, you will drive to Cairo International Airport and take your homeward flight.
