13 Days Historical Tour of Vietnam: Hanoi - SAPA - Halong Bay - Cuc Phuong National Park - Mai Chau - Hue - Hoi An - My son

 Day 01: Arrival in Hanoi
After arriving in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, you will be transferred to check in the hotel and have lunch there. Then you will take a rickshaw to look around the old town of Hanoi. We will specially arrange the Water Puppet show for you, which is a unique artistic performance in Vietnam. After that, you will have a chance to taste the local snack and food.

 Day 02: Hanoi - SAPA
The tour of Hanoi will start after breakfast. The first destination is Hoan Kiem Lake which is the most famous lake in Hanoi. Then you will continue to visit the most beautiful ancient buildings--Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Quan Thanh Temple. The following two sites you will visit are Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Presidential palace which is open in the morning. One Pillar Pagoda will be your last destination before lunch. In the afternoon, you will go to visit the Ethnology Museum. After dinner, proceed to the railway station and leave for SAPA by an express train.

 Day 03: SAPA
You will arrive at the station at about 6:00 a.m. and then transfer to SAPA by bus. There is no activity in the morning and you can have a good rest at the hotel after check in. The afternoon tour will begin at around 13:00, you will walk to Cat Cat Village, where the Black Mong lives, to visit the traditional dwelling house of local people and experience its special culture. Then pay a visit to the Red Dragon Water Fall and the terrace fields to enjoy the breathtaking scenery here.

 Day 04: SAPA
After breakfast, you will head to visit the Laochai & Tavan village for sightseeing at around 8:30. Lunch will be arranged beside a creek. You will have a chance to appreciate many featured folk houses and meet friendly locals. After lunch, pay a visit to a family in Ta Van village. Afterwards, you will return to SAPA and then go back to Hanoi by train.

 Day 05: Hanoi - Halong Bay
After arriving in Hanoi in the early morning, you will pass through the Red River Delta to get to Halong Bay for four hours by bus. At about 12:30, you will board the luxurious cruise ship with Sinicism and check in. Lunch is served at around 13:00. Then you can appreciate the full view of Halong Bay at the sun deck. The cruise will pass through the place with the most spectacular view of Halong Bay at about 15:00.



 Day 06: Halong Bay - Cuc Phuong National Park
The tour in Halong Bay will be continued after breakfast. At 10:00, you could visit the Teapot Island, Chopstick Island and so on. Then return to Halong Bay at 11:00 and the ship will arrive in the port about half an hour later. After that, you will drive to visit Tam Coc to enjoy the wonderful natural landscape. Then proceed to the Cuc Phuong National Park by bus and check in a hotel in the center of the forest.

 Day 07: Cuc Phuong National Park - Mai Chou
The morning tour will take you to visit the Monkey Park and the Botanical Garden. Instead of this, you can also choose to have the jungle exploration. Lunch will be arranged at a restaurant in the jungle. Then head for Mai Chou by bus. After checking in a hotel in Mai Chou, you will transfer to visit the Green Valley for sightseeing and then go back.

 Day 08: Mai Chou – Hanoi
You can spent the whole morning wandering in the village thoroughly. After lunch, you will transfer back to Hanoi.

 Day 09: Hanoi - Hue
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and take a flight to Hue. In the afternoon, you are going to visit the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market. The Imperial Citadel is called “Forbidden City in Vietnam”, since it was designed according to the layout of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Then you will visit the Thien Mu Pagoda on the way to Perfume River. After that, some historical sites will be arranged following.

 Day 10: Hue - Hoi An
Today, you will head to visit the Marble mountain first and then drive to Hoi An, which was a primary port in Vietnam. It is also the smallest city in Vietnam and visitors only spend two hours walking around the whole city. After arriving in Hoi An, you will transfer to China Beach buy bus.

 Day 11: Hoi An - My Son
In the morning, you will take an excursion to My Son, which is one of the world heritages. After lunch, you will walk back to Hoi An. Being the ancient major port, the architectures here were built not only in Vietnam style, but also in Chinese and Japanese style. You will have a chance to visit many Chinese temples and Japanese bridges.

 Day 12: Hoi An - Hanoi
The whole day is free at your leisure. You can enjoy yourselves in China Beach all day long. In the late afternoon, you will fly to Hanoi and check in a hotel.

 Day 13: Departure from Vietnam
No activities arranged after breakfast, you can go shopping in the morning. Then you will transfer to the airport and board a homeward flight leaving from Vietnam.
