9-days Adventure Tour of Uganda

Departure: Daily
 

 Day 01: Arrival in Entebbe - Kampala
In the morning, you will arrive at Entebbe Airport. Then you will drive to Africana Hotel. The guide will give you some information of the 9-day adventure tour of Uganda, which can also be found in the welcome pack.

 

 Day 02: Kampala - Mgahinga
Today you will leave Kampala for Mgahinga. Then you will stay at Mount Mgahinga Hotel.

 

 Day 03: Mount Sabinyo
This morning, you will walk to Mount Sabinyo, which carries the local nickname "Old Man's Teeth" because of its three serrated summit caused by erosion. To avoid falling into the deep canyon, you should be very careful when you climb the second one, because the ridges are very steep. Lastly, after mounting the third one on all fours, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of Rwanda. The temperature changes as the elevation of altitude, which promotes the growth in plants. You will definitely be impressed by the buffalo, elephants, antelopes, rare golden monkeys and many birds, such as Black Kites and Crowned Crane. 

 

 Day 04: Mount Gahinga
Today you will climb to the top of Mount Gahinga and then return from it. And you will walk for about 20 kilometers. After walking across a bamboo forest, you will get to a green wetland, which used to be a volcano area. 

 Day 05: Mount Muhavura
Walk to Muhavura in the morning. Before getting to the destination, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Uganda along the way. Although the mountain paths leading to the destination, which are covered by shrubs and weeds, are rough, the magnificent Virunga Volcano, the picturesque Lake Edward in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Forest will bring unparalleled excitement to your trip. 

 Day 06: Mount Muhavura
Today you will drive to Nkuringo Gorilla Safari, which is located on the south of Mount Muhavura, and track gorillas. After the officials of the park introduce the notes, you will walk along the mountain paths to get to Mountain Gorilla. Because of the thick weeds and forest, this mountain is almost impenetrable. Because of the lush trees and wisteria, only a few faint gleams of sunshine can reach the forest, which makes it mysterious and dignified. This area has the richest biological diversity of plant species in Africa, including helicon and lobster claw. There are over 330 species of mountain gorillas living here, accounting for about half of all the mountain gorillas in the world.


 Day 07: Kibale National Forest Park
You will drive to Kibale National Forest Park this morning. After visiting the king's palaces, you will have lunch in Fort Portal Town. In the evening, you will have dinner in Kibale and stay at Ndali Hotel.


 Day 08: Kibale National Forest Park
Kibale National Forest Park is home for a remarkable 13 primate species, including the much localized red colobus and L'Hoest's monkey. It is an absolutely good place for botanists and butterfly lovers. The park also boasts 325 species of birds, including parrots and big turaccos, which will feast your eyes. According to statistics, there are over 600 chimpanzees living in this forest. This park has developed the ecological tourism based on biocoenosis. Many native plants, plants for herbivores and herbs could be found here. Wild rubber trees, fig trees and candelabra euphorbia are also very common in the park.


 Day 09: Departure from Jinja
Today you are free to arrange the activities. You can spend half of the day rafting or going shopping. Then you will transfer to the airport for the homebound flight.
