Summer Palace, Beijing

Day 01 - Entry Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, you are met and transferred to the hotel. Relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening to recover from the jet lag.


Day 02 - Beijing
Your first day of touring in our capital city will begin with strolling across the Tiananmen Square. Through the Meridian Gate on the north side of the square, you will enter the fabled Forbidden City to appreciate its majesty and magnificence. In the afternoon, you will visit the amazing Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a renowned restaurant, followed by a fascinating Peking Opera performance. (B, L, D)
 
 
Day 03 - Beijing
It is a once in a life time experience to walk upon the Badaling Great Wall of China. To celebrate this historic visit, your lunch is specially arranged at a local popular Sichuan restaurant. Later you will visit the Ming Tomb. Entrance to this sacred burial ground is via the Sacred Way. The a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area.(B, L, D)

Note: A la carte dinner is served for Luxury series while Standard series will have the dinner on your own.


Day 04 - Beijing/ Xian
This morning you will marvel at the treasures of the Summer Palace and the lovely Pandas in Beijing Zoo. After lunch take a flight to Xian, and you will be met and transferred to the hotel. A luxurious buffet dinner will be served at your hotel. (B, L, D)

Note: Buffet dinner is served for Luxury series while Standard series will have the dinner on your own.


Day 05 - Xian
Today's highlight is a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have an a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. Tonight you will enjoy the wonderful Tang Dynasty Dinner Show. (B, L, D)


Day 06 - Xian
This morning's tour features the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit a local family and the Great Mosque in the afternoon. (B, L)

Day 07 - Xian/ Lhasa
On the way to the airport, visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi, time permitting. Upon arrival in Lhasa, you will be met and transferred to the downtown to check in at the hotel. For the first day in Lhasa, you are suggested to do as little as possible to give your bodies' time to adjust to the thin air. For dinner of this evening, you will enjoy the a la carte dishes at a finest Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B, D)


Day 08 - Lhasa
The day begins with a tour of the world famous Potala Palace. After that, you will visit Dalai Lamas' Summer Palace, Norbulingka and the exciting sutra-debating in the Sera Monastery. The dinner is served at the hotel. (B, L, D)


Day 09 - Lhasa
This morning you will visit the Jokhang Temple, a most sacred place for all Tibet pilgrims, surrounding the temple is the famous Barkhor Street. After lunch, you will go to the Tibet Museum. With interest, we also arrange a tour to the Tibetan Traditional Hospital and the workshop of the Lhasa Carpet Factory for a visit of making traditional Tibetan carpets. The dinner is served at the hotel. (B, L, D)
 

Day 10 - Lhasa/ Shigatse 
Drive to Shigatse and visit the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake on the midway Upon arrival, you will check in the hotel where the dinner is served.   (B, L, D)

Day 11 - Shigatse 
Full day visit include the Tashilunpo Monastery and the New Palace of Panchen. (B, L, D) 


Day 12 - Shigatse/ Lhatse/ Saga   
Drive to Saga via Lhatse along Brahmaputra River. Visit the Lhatse city on the way. (B, L, D) 


Day 13 - Saga/ Paryang  
Drive to Paryang. Enjoy the snow covered peaks and lots of rocky peaks along the way.(B, L, D) 


Day 14 - Paryang/ Manasarovar Lake/ Tarchen 
Drive to visit the Manasarovara Lake, a lake with compassion, tranquility and bliss. Then head for Tarchen which is located at the foot of the majestic holy Mt. Kailash. (B, L, D) 


Day 15 - Tarchen/ Mt. Kailash 
Begin the trek around Mt. Kailash. (B, L, D) 


Day 16 - Mt. Kailash  
Continue the trek around Mt. Kailash. (B, L, D) 
 

Day 17 - Mt. Kailash/ Tarchen 
Continue the trek around Mt. Kailash.  (B, L, D)

Day 18 - Tarchen/ Tsada 
Drive to Tsada.  (B, L, D)

Day 19 - Tsada  
Start the Tsada exploration with visit the Tsada Forest, the Ruins of Guge Kingdom and Tholing Monastery. (B, L, D)


Day 20 - Tsada/ Seng Ge Tsangpo  
Drive to Shiquanhe and transfer to the hotel. (B, L, D) 
 

Day 21 - Seng Ge Tsangpo/ Palgon  Lake/ Seng Ge Tsangpoanhe 
Drive to visit the Palgon  Lake and the Bird Island. Transfer back to Shiquanhe. (B, L, D) 

Day 22 - Seng Ge Tsangpo/ Gertse  .
Drive to Gertse. You may see the wild animals along the way.  (B, L, D) 
 

Day 23 - Gertse/ Tsochen/ 22 Highway Maintenance Squad   
Drive to 22 highway maintenance squad and stay here. (B, L, D) 
 

Day 24 - 22 Highway Maintenance Squad/ Lhatse/ Shigatse 
Drive to Shigatse and check in at the hotel. (B, L, D) 
 

Day 25 - Shigatse/ Lhasa   
Drive to Lhasa and transfer to the hotel.  (B, L) 

Shanghai scene

Day 26 - Lhasa/ Shanghai 
After visit a Tibetan Family. Take a flight to Shanghai and you will be met and transferred to the hotel.  (B, L) 


Day 27 - Shanghai 
You must see and experience Shanghai to appreciate its cosmopolitan flavor. Visit the treasures' displays in the Shanghai Museum and the unique architectures of the beautiful Yuyuan Garden.  After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. Tonight, you will be invited to a Farewell Dinner served at the famous Wang Bao He restaurant in Central Hotel. Following the dinner is an exciting Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.  (B, L, D) 

Note: Huangpu River cruise is arranged in the Luxury series while you will have a family visit in Standard series.


Day 28 - Exit Shanghai
Upon completion of you memorable China tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home today.  (B)
