Great Wall, Beijing

Day 01 - Entry Beijing

Upon arrival in Beijing, you are met and transferred to the hotel. Relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening to recover from the jet lag.


Day 02 - Beijing
Your first day of touring in our capital city will begin with strolling across the Tiananmen Square. Through the Meridian Gate on the north side of the square, you will enter the fabled Forbidden City to appreciate its majesty and magnificence. In the afternoon, you will visit the amazing Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a renowned restaurant, followed by a fascinating Peking Opera performance. (B, L, D)


Day 03 - Beijing
It is a once in a life time experience to walk upon the Badaling Great Wall of China. To celebrate this historic visit, your lunch is specially arranged at a local popular Sichuan restaurant. Later you will visit the Ming Tomb. Entrance to this sacred burial ground is via the Sacred Way. The a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area. Note: A la carte dinner is served for Luxury series while Standard series will have the dinner on your own.
 

Day 04 - Beijing/ Urumqi
This morning you will marvel at the treasures of the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Urumqi and transfer to the hotel. (B, L)


 
Ancient City Wall, Xian

Day 05 - Urumqi/ Kashgar
You will take a morning flight to Kashgar - "the pearl on the Ancient Silk Road". Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the local best hotel. Then, take you to the famous Sunday Market. (B, L)


Day 06 - Kashgar/ Urumqi/ Turpan
Have a brief city tour to the Id Kah Mosque, the Abakh Khoja Tomb and the Old Street. Take a flight to Urumqi and be transferred to Turpan. Check in at the hotel. (B, L)


Day 07 - Turpan
Take the whole day tour to  the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda. (B, L)


Day 08 - Turpan/ Dunhuang
Conclude the Turpan package after visit the Gaochang Ruins, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave and the Flaming Hill. See off for an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B, L, D)

Day 09 - Dunhuang

Pick you up at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. Follow a tour to the highlight of Dunhuang city, Mogao Grottoes and the Dunhuang Museum. Arrange the breakfast on your own. (L)


Day 10 - Dunhuang/ Xian
You will experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Lake. Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel where a luxurious buffet dinner will be served. (B, L, D)

Note: Buffet dinner is served for Luxury series while Standard series will have the dinner on your own.
 


Day 11 - Xian
Today's highlight is a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a local famous restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. Tonight you will enjoy the wonderful Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace. Splendid Yangtze Three Gorges cruise

Day 12 - Xian
This morning's tour features the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family. (B, L)


Day 13 - Xian/ Chongqing
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. After lunch, take a flight to Chongqing and be met at the airport. Before get onboard the deluxe German-made China Regal cruise ship, you will enjoy a buffet dinner at the 4-star Holiday Inn Yangtze Hotel. (B, L, D)


Day 14 - Chongqing/ Fengdu
Depart from Chongqing at 08:00 am to explore the Three Gorges downstream. The Cruise first stop at the Ghost City of Fengdu this afternoon. (B, L, D)
 
 
Day 15 - Badong/ Xiling Gorge/ Sandouping
Today, you will see all three gorges: the Qutang Gorge, the Wu Gorge and the Xiling Gorge. with their distinctive features. Stop at Badong, a small town, and then journey to the Shennong Stream, where you will ride a 'pea boat' up the small gorges against the rapid. At about 17:00, the cruise will get in line to pass the five-level ship lock. (B, L, D)

Day 16 - Sandouping
This morning, conclude your Yangtze River adventure after a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site. (B, L, D)


Day 17 - Wuhan/ Shanghai
At 12:00 you will arrive in Wuhan. Check-out procedures will be announced and please follow the steps. Visit the Hubei Provincial Museum and see off for the flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to the hotel. (B, L)


Day 18 - Shanghai
You must see and experience Shanghai to appreciate its cosmopolitan flavor. Visit the treasures' displays in the Shanghai Museum and the unique architectures of the beautiful Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. Tonight, you will be invited to a Farewell Dinner served at the famous Wang Bao He restaurant in Central Hotel. Following the dinner is an exciting Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B, L, D)

Note: Huangpu River cruise is arranged in the Luxury series while you will have a family visit in Standard series.
 

Day 19 - Exit Shanghai
Upon completion of you memorable China tour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home today. (B)
