8 Days Carpathians Tour of Romania: Bucharest - Transylvania - Bran Castle - Brasov - Red Lake

 Day 01: Arrival in Romania
You will take a flight to Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. If you arrive early, you can tour around in the city after check-in, and if not, you may have a good rest at the hotel.


 Day 02: Kalpacien Mountains
Kalpacien Mountains covers a total length of 1450 kilometers passing through Poland, Ukraine to the Danube in the southwest of Romania. It has a particular rich geology, landscape and natural scenery. Today, you will start from the village of Moieciu de Jos and then walk through the mountain range.


 Day 03: Kalpacien Mountains - Bran Castle
During the trip today, you are going to visit the Bran Castle, also called Dracula Castle. In the famous novel Dracula, written by Irish writer Bram Stoker in the end of 19th century, the story is set in the castle with the vampire Count Dracula as its hero. As the story has been enjoying popular support, the castle is defined as a vampire castle by people. And the name of Dracula Castle has become even more and more popular. After the visit, you will carry on your trip along the Kalpacien Mountains.


 Day 04: Kalpacien Mountains
You will spend the whole walking in Kalpacien Mountains. During the journey, you will tour around in the king’s Piatra Craiului National Park, which enjoys the fame as one of the best sceneries in the whole ranges.


 Day 05: Brasov - Red Lake
Today you will cross through Brasov where there are colleges and universities, gothic black church in middle Ages, castles and other historic sites and you can choose some to have a look. After that, proceed to go to the picturesque Red Lake, during which you will have opportunities to contact with Romanian ethnic minorities.


 Day 06: Kalpacien Mountains
Today’ tour will take you to visit the Hasmas National Park, which is the most magnificent spot in Transylvania and Moldavia of Kalpacien Mountains. There is no doubt that its wonderful scenery will be deeply impressed in your mind.


 Day 07: Kalpacien Mountains
Walk along the ancient path of Moldova, you will meet a small ancient village, called Barnadu where you can get to know about the local people’s life. After that, you will transfer back to Bucharest.


 Day 08: Departure from Romania
There is no activity arranged in the morning, you may have a rest and pack your luggage at hotel. Later you will travel to the airport for the departure flight and end this hiking tour in Romania.
