9 Days Discovery Trip of Malaysia: Borneo - Kuching - Lemanak - Batang Ai Longhouse Resort - Gunung Mulu National Park - Kota Kinabalu - Sandakan

 Day 01: Arrival in Kuching
You will fly to Kuching, the biggest city of Malaysia, which has the longest history and a reputation of “City on the Water”. Upon arrival, you will go to check in the hotel by bus. The afternoon tour will begin with the visit of city area. At first you are going to visit the Tua Pek Kong Temple, a Chinese temple located in the center of Chinatown. Then Sarawak Museum will be the next destination. This museum is in royal style of Queen Anne in British Victorian era.


 Day 02: Kuching - Lemanak - Batang Ai Longhouse Resort
In the morning you will take a bus to Sarawak. On the way you will go across an unopened tract of land, on which you may see beautiful fields, including paddy field, pepper plantations and rubber plantations. After arriving at Lemanak River, you will pay a visit to the local peasants’ fairs and the pepper plantations and feast on local food for lunch at the fairs. Later, while visiting along Lemanak River by boat, you can enjoy the beautiful view along the way. After the visit, you will get off the boat and transfer to check in the Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort. For the rest of the time, you may relax by yourselves.


 Day 03: Batang Ai Longhouse Resort - Kuching
In the morning, you can have a hearty breakfast and appreciate the natural scenery of the lake. Today, you may relax in the resort and then return to Kuching by bus.


 Day 04: Kuching - Gunung Mulu National Park
You will leave for Mulu by air in the early morning. After arrival, you will go to Mulu Resort to check in and then have a rest. In the afternoon, you will have a 3-kilometer excursion across the rain forest. During the journey, you can enjoy all kinds of view, of which many are No. 1 in the world. At the same time, you will also see a lot of animals. Return to the resort in the evening.

 Day 05: Gunung Mulu National Park
Today you will continue your tour in Gunung Mulu National Park. You are going to visit many sights such as caves which you don’t visit on the previous day. The morning tour will take you to visit the Melinau River by boat and enjoy the wonderful landscape along the way. After that, you will pay a visit to the local Penan people, a local nomadic tribe.


 Day 06: Mulu - Kota Kinabalu
The morning is for free activities. Then you will go to Mulu Airport and fly to Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival there at night, you will transfer to check in the hotel immediately.

  Day 07: Kota Kinabalu National Park
Drive to Kota Kinabalu National Park in the morning. If you are a lover of nature, here is the ideal land of natural, where exist natural beauty and varieties of plants. You will visit hills and gardens in the park. Here you can also enjoy the rare tropical sceneries. You will have a short break after the visit. Then proceed to Poring Hot Springs to have a spring bath. At last, you will go back to Kota Kinabalu Hotel in the evening.


 Day 08: Kota Kinabalu - Sandakan
A bid farewell to Kota Kinabalu in the morning and you will fly to Sandakan. Upon arrival, you will first head to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, which is the biggest orang utan rehabilitation centre in the world and the heaven of orang utan. In the park, you will have an opportunity to see some endangered animals such as Malaysian rhinoceroses. In the afternoon, you will move forward to Sukau Rainforest Lodge by boat. After checking in, you will have a 2-hour cruise tour along Kinabatangan River to take an overview of the most abundant ecosystem in the world.


 Day 09: Sandakan - Kuala Lumpur - Departure from Malaysia
You will return to Kota Kinabalu by air today. In the afternoon, you will visit the Australian War Memorial in memory of the dead officers and soldiers of Allies in Borneo. Then go back to Kuala Lumpur by air and connect a flight departing from Malaysia, concluding the fantastic discovery trip to Borneo.
