10 Days Tour of Laos: Luang Prabang - Plain of Jars - Vang Vieng - Vientiane

 Day 01-Day 03: Luang Prabang
You will arrive in Luang Prabang, a famous ancient city and Buddhist center in Laos by flight on the first day. Luang Prabang used to be the capital city of many dynasties in the long history of Laos. Upon arrival, you will firstly transfer to check in a hotel and then start the three-day long Luang Prabang trip. In Luang Prabang, you will pay a visit to ThSisavangvong and numerous temples like ThSakkarin and ThWisunalat. In the temples, you will meet monks who live a peaceful life. You can also enjoy the beautiful tropical scenery--Kuang Si Falls and walk along the Mekong River. Besides, you will have time to do shopping there and taste traditional Lao food.


 Day 04-Day 05: Plain of Jars
Today, during the journey to Phonsavan, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lao countryside. Phonsavan is a beautiful place with small population. Near Phonsavan, there are lush forests where wild animals like tiger and peacock can be found. Phonsavan is very close to Plain of Jars, a place of many miracles and mysteries. In Plain of Jars, you will visit the famous Stonehenge which is called, together with the United Kingdom Stonehenge, Chile Boulders Portrait and South America Golem Circle, as the “World’s Four Stone Mysteries”. It has been proved that the stone jars can be traced back to 2,500-3, 000 years ago. However, no one knows where the stone jars came from, who created them and what they were created for. At last, you will also visit the local grottos and waterfalls there.


 Day 06-Day 07: Vang Vieng
During these two days, you will tour in Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng is an idyllic small town and only has two streets. The Buildings of low French style and local features stand along the streets. In this town, you will appreciate Karst scenery usually seen in limestone regions. In addition, you will also have a kayaking trip along Nam Song to visit lots of grottoes nearby. At sunset, you will return to the place you lodge in.


 Day 08-Day 10: Vientiane
The last stop of your trip is Vientiane, the capital city of Laos and you will spend two more days there. Vientiane is a fantastic place with long history and strong Buddha atmosphere. There, you will visit the well-known Wat Pha That Luang, Laos’ landmark--Patuxai Monument, the National Historical Museum, Wat Haw Pha Kaew, etc. Furthermore, you will have a chance to attend the traditional wedding “Baci” of a local family. Meanwhile, you will also have some free time to go to the local markets on your own and purchase some specialties and souvenirs for your family or friends. In the afternoon of the last day, you will transfer to the airport to take a flight leaving from Vientiane and put an end to your trip in Laos.
