6 Days Tour of Finland: Helsinki - Rovaniemi - Lapland

Day 01: Arrival in Helsinki
You will take a flight to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. If you arrive early, it is recommended for you to buy a Helsinki Card, which provides you some discounts when visiting the sightseeing spots and taking public transport facilities.


Day 02: Helsinki - Lapland
You will fly to Rovaniemi Airport in the morning. Upon arrival, you will start the fantastic Lapland Northern Lights tour by snowmobile. On the way, you will camp in the Arctic Circle to take a short break for some hot drink and snacks. In the evening, you can choose to tour in the town of Rovaniemi freely. One thing need to be mentioned that the Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon, so it can not be guaranteed to see.


Day 03: Reindeer Farm and Santa Claus Village
Today’s tour will take you to visit the Reindeer Farm and Santa Claus Village by riding snowmobiles. First, you will visit the reindeer farm to learn about the unique culture and history of the local Sami people. In the reindeer farm, you will have the opportunity to ride on the sleigh pulled by reindeers and to participate in the celebrations along the Arctic Circle of Lapland. After lunch, you will move forward to visit the Santa Claus Village to get to know the real Santa Claus there. You can also purchase some souvenirs in the post office and handicraft shops.


Day 04: Dog Sledding and the Finnish Bath
After breakfast, you will go to the Eskimos kennel and the warmhearted local Eskimo will pick the best sled dogs for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lapland by dogsled. But before that, you should receive a basic sled dog driving programs. Afterwards, you will transfer back to the kennel for a short break and then return to the hotel. The rest of the time is free on your own and it is recommended for you to experience the traditional Finnish sauna.


Day 05: Back to Helsinki
Fly back to Helsinki in the morning. Then you are going to take a bus to visit the main attractions in Helsinki, including the Senate Square, the largest Greek Orthodox Church on Scandinavian Peninsula--Uspenski Cathedral, the Parliament Building and the Olympic Stadium. You will also stop at the famous Sibelius Park and the Temppeliaukio Church to visit. After that, the remaining day will be arranged on your own.


Day 06: Departure from Finland
The morning tour will take you to visit the old city of Helsinki, where you can appreciate the ancient European side with romantic atmosphere of this city. You can pay a visit to the museums, go shopping, or sit at the cafe on the street for a cup of coffee, enjoying the rare leisure time. In the afternoon, you will transfer to the airport and depart from Finland by air.
