After arrive at Cairo Airport, the guide will drive you to check in the hotel for dinner and rest. Today, you could get ready for the 7 days deep tour of Cairo and Alexandria.
After breakfast, you will leave the hotel and start the trip. Firstly, you will go to see the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, which are the most famous historical sites in Egypt and world with remarkable historical value. Both of them have a long history of about 4,500 years. After lunch, you will head to the Papyrus Institute, where you could see the ancient Egyptian paper-making technology and exquisite papyrus artworks.
This morning, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which is a grand ancient building with two layers of stones. The Museum was built by the famous French archaeologist Mariette, who is honored as "Father of the Egyptian Museum" by Egyptians. Here is the largest venue of ancient Egyptian civilization and it has a collection of the best known ancient Egyptian artifacts. After lunch, you will proceed to visit the Citadel of Saladin, which was built by Saladin of the Ayyubid Dynasty to fight against the Crusades in 1183. Then you will go to the famous cathedral quarter in Cairo and pay a visit to the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church and so on. It is also a world-famous pilgrimage site.
In the morning, you will drive about 2.5 hours to Alexandria. Upon arrival, you will check in the hotel. The first stop here is the New Alexandria Library. Being "the Best Building in the World", the library was completed on October 16th, 2002 to supersede the former destroyed one. The next destination is the Alexandria National Museum, which is located in a former castle with about 2,000 exhibits.
Today’s tour will take you to the Montazah Gardens. It was the residence of Farouk, the last king of Egypt, which is a garden building with Florentine style. After lunch, you will be transferred back to Cairo.
After breakfast, you will leave for the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. The Bazaar includes dozens of streets and lanes and thousands of individual shops, many of which can be traced back to the 14th century. The shops sell traditional Egyptian crafts like gold and silver jewelry, copper coil, stone carving, leather goods and so on. It is known for its primitive simplicity and satisfactory variety of goods to foreign tourists. At night, you will go to dinner on a Nile cruise, enjoying the Folkloric Shows and Belly Dance.
Your memorable Egypt tour will come to the end today. The driver will transfer you to the Cairo Airport on time.
