Day 07: Maastricht
Maastricht, the oldest city in the country, locates in the border areas of Holland and adjoins to Belgium and Germany. Here you can see stone made walls, the remains of ancient Rome and Gothic churches. In the morning, you will visit Caves of Mount St. Pieter and head to Vaals to enjoy wines and have a rest in the vineyard. Return to the city Maastricht with a stop at the pure royal town - Thorn in the afternoon.
Day 08: Maastricht - Arnhem - Apeldoorn (Hoge Veluwe National Park)
After breakfast, the bus tour will take you to Apeldoorn, with a stop at outlet (near venlo), where you can shop in the discount store. After lunch in Arnhem, you will look far into the distance of "A Bridge Too Far", a blockbuster during the Second World War. In the afternoon, you will tour around Hoge Veluwe National Park by taking white bicycles and Kroller--Miiler Museum in the park.
Day 09: Apeldoorn - Leeuwargen - Giethoorn - Groningen
In the morning, after crossing the hundreds meters of fagus boulevard, you will be greeted by Paleis Het Loo, which is extremely welcomed by the Dutch royal family and reflects the arrogance and dignity of the master. Then you will travel north to Giethoorn, which is called "Dutch Xanadu", with bridges, rivers, log cabins and families. Take a wooden ship, shuttle in the peaceful village and enjoy the scenery along the way. In the afternoon, you will go across the extensive South Firesland and head to the border town Giethoorn fortifications where you can experience military town of 17th century and transfer to Groningen.
Day 10: Groningen - Afsluitdijk - Alkmaar
The morning tour will take you to visit the old castles around Groningen and admire the natural scenery of the North Sea. In the afternoon, you will take a bus going across Afsluitdijk as long as 32 kilometers, to feel the strong will of the Dutch and the nature beauty.
Day 11: Groningen - Afsluitdijk - Alkmaar - Valendown - Amsterdam
Alkmaar, state of North Holland, takes yellowish cheese as decoration theme, just like Cheese Disneyland. Every Friday, traditional cheese market is held in the square, where you can observe people trade in traditional ways and cargadors dressed colorfully, busy with their work. Then you will head to the nearby fishing village Valendown, where you can have fun in the white sails, wear traditional clothes and take pictures, as well as appreciate the herring menhadens just at the right taste. After lunch, you will tour to Zaanse Schans, which is in the suburb of Amsterdam. Also, Zaanse contains clogs factory, white wax factory, bakery, and cheese and dairy product workshops, leaving the impression of traditional Holland.
Day 12: Amsterdam - Departure from Holland
You will take the glass pleasure boat in various canals, and catch sight of diverse building sceneries. Spend all day in Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Rembrandt House, Dam Square and diamond factory. Then the tour will be concluded when you transfer to the airport after dinner and take a flight back home.
