5 Days Tour of Cambodia: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Angkor Wat

 Day 01: Arrival in Phnom Penh - Siem Reap
After arriving in Phnom Penh, you will ride directly to the hotel to check in. The first stop we plan to visit is Independence Monument which symbolizes the period of history when Cambodians had been struggling for independence through tons of hardships. Every year on Nov. 09, bunches of wreath are fully placed under the monument. Drive to Siam Reap after lunch. Upon arrival, you will visit the Bakheng outside the gate of Angkor Thom and appreciate the charm of Angkor Wat in the sunset. In the evening, we will arrange the Cambodian folk dances for you.

 Day 02: Siem Reap
Today, we will lead you to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World-Angkor Wat, which is regarded as Heaven on Earth. After arrival, you will first visit Banteay Srei which was constructed in 10th century. The temple, also called “Queen Palace”, wins a good reputation as “Jewel in Angkor Art”. Afterwards, go back to Siam Reap, you will also visit the Ta Prohm Temple on the way back. This is the location of Hollywood blockbuster Tomb Raider1. Then drive to Angkor Thom to know about Angkor Thom relics and famous Bayon Temple. The following sites arranged for you are Terrace of the Elephants, Bapun Palace, Prasats Suor Prat, Angkor old Royal Palace, etc. In the afternoon, we will move to the Angkor Wat, where is the most majestic capital city throughout the history of Cambodia. 

 Day 03: Siem Reap
Today’s tour will take you to visit the largest freshwater lake of Southeast Asia-Tonle Sap Lake by boat and appreciate the beautiful scenery and villages along the lake. We will have a chance to taste the French afternoon tea with traditional Angkor style. After lunch, we will specially arrange you to take Angkor’s special vehicle “tuk-tuk” for a thorough tour of Angkor downtown area. In the afternoon, you are going to visit the Arts School in Cambodia. This school was undertaken by Cambodia Education Department and French government aimed at preserving ancient civilization and art heritage in Angkor Wat. We will get an insight into the ancient civilization during the whole Angkor Dynasty. After finishing the sightseeing, we will arrange a one-hour traditional massage for you to eliminate fatigue and relax yourself!

 Day 04: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh
Drive back to Phnom Penh after breakfast. Upon arrival, we will head to Wat Phnom directly, which is the landmark as well as birthplace of Phnom Penh. Wat Phnom, also called “Bell-shaped Pagoda”, is splendid and presenting Sakyamuni inside. You can overlook the whole city at the peak of pagoda. Afterwards, you will get some fun in NagaWorld. There are different kinds of gambling game and you can have a try here. Then, continue to tour the Mekong River by boat. You can experience the simple life of local people and taste the fresh fruits of South-East Asia on boat!

 Day 05: Phnom Penh – Departure from Cambodia
After breakfast, we will arrange you to visit the Royal Palace Square. It follows the traditional Cambodia architecture style but you can still feel a strong sense of Siam flavor. After that, you will have a stop at the local market, where is a place you can purchase some souvenirs for your family. Then drive to the airport and leave from Cambodia by plane.
