It's said that Angkor Wat is the majestic work of Suryavarman II in the early 12th century when the Khmer civilization was at the height of its development, and preserves some of the finest examples of apsara carvings in Angkorian era art. Shortly after this you will go on a cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in southeast Asia. During the trip, you will witness how those local boat dwellers go fishing, grow vegetables and raise pigs on their boats. Late in the afternoon, you will head for Bakheng, the best place for watching the spectacular sunset.
