   Day 01- Entry Beijing
Our guide will wait for you at Beijing airport ahead of your international flight schedule. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to the best Holiday Inn hotel in Beijing - Holiday Inn Central Plaza. After settling down, you will have a good rest at the hotel to recover from the jet lag, or use this free time to walk around in the Beijing city.

   Day 02 - Beijing
We will prepare a rich breakfast for you to begin with the first day. After that, you will meet the other members in your group and have a greeting with them. Then our guide will give you a brief introduction at your hotel before departure and offer you a name list of your group members. Today's tour will be carried out in the city area, first stop is the Tian'anmen Square, which is the symbol of China and located at the center of Beijing urban district. Then move on to the Forbidden City. Once having entered the Forbidden City, visitors are transported to a spacious world of great luxury that had a culture of its own. Walking along the corridors and through various rooms, it becomes easy to understand the impact of the rulers who lived here and their isolation from the rest of Chinese life. The lunch is a la carte style which allows you to order your pleased dish. Beijing has many beautiful temples that at one time served as the focus for religious life. Temple of Heaven is the largest group of structures in the country dedicated to rituals that pay homage to heaven. The lively Chinese Kungfu Show at the Red Theatre awaits you at night. (B, L)
 
   Day 03 - Beijing
Morning excursion will take you to hike the Beijing Great Wall, and we will arrange the Badaling section for you. The wall of Badaling has a total length of 3, 741 meters with an average height of 8 meters. The highest part is 15 meters. The total area for a tour is 19, 000 square meters. The top of the wall can have five horses marching abreast. We will arrange a decent lunch at a local popular Sichuan food restaurant for you. Afterwards, continue to the Sacred Way and get to the Ming Tomb at the end of the path. The Bird's Nest, as one of the Olympic National Stadiums, is visible on the way back to downtown and you will have a look at it afar and take some photos outside. (B, L)
 
   Day 04 - Beijing/ Xian
Beijing tour will be concluded after having stay at the Summer Palace and the Hutong area. Summer Palace is a famous classic imperial garden with breathtaking beauty. Bold and generously designed, the northern gardens skillfully blend into the exquisite delicacy of the southern gardens. Then the Hutong tour will allow you to have a close look at local people’s life. Transfer you to the airport and take a flight to Xian. Another local guide will meet you at the Xian Xianyang airport and then transfer you to check in the 4-star Grand New World Hotel. (B, L)
 
   Day 05 - Xian

In the morning, our guide will lead you to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. There are three pits in this museum. Pit 1 contained chariots and ranks of six thousand soldiers, pit 2 held fourteen hundred figures of cavalrymen, horses and infantrymen, along with ninety wooden chariots while pit 3 contained about seventy figures. The excavation process takes much effort at that time. To date, more than a thousand warriors have been reassembled. After the whole morning visit, in order to recruit your energy, we will arrange a special homely cooked lunch for you at a local people’s home. Then the afternoon tour will include the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall. This night, a Dumpling Dinner and a wonderful Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show will wait for you. (Tips: Dumplings are a traditional local food in northern China and are made of wheat flour with various indigenous fillings. This has long been a favorite food of the local people, so we have arranged for you to have a taste of this specialty today. You will also have an opportunity to learn more about the diversified Chinese food culture. However, we suggest you do not expect too much from this dinner, it is just a new and different experience during your trip.)  (B, L, D)
 
   Day 06 - Xian/Lhasa
Your Xian tour will end this morning. After breakfast, our guide will transfer you to the airport and take a morning flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by another local guide and transferred to the local best 4-star Gang-gyan Lhasa Hotel. In order to adapt to the high altitude, we will leave the rest of day for free for you. (B)

   Day 07 - Lhasa

Today, the first stop will take you to the Norbulingka Park. Norbulingka, meaning Treasure Park, was first built in the forties of the eighteenth century, covering a space of 40 hectares after continuous expansion by the Dalai Lamas. Afterwards, go ahead to the Sera Monastery. Sera, one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa, sit at the foot of Hill Tatipu. It is as prestigious as Drepung and Ganden, which had a longer history. Sera in Tibetan means Wild Rose Garden since opulent wild rose woods once grew around it. Then have a short stay at a typical Tibetan family. You will have a chance to get close to the local Tibetan people and experience the real life of the Tibetans in person. A special dinner with Tibetan dance show performed by local Tibetan people is well prepared for your tonight. (B, L, D)

   Day 08 - Lhasa
In the morning, visit the magnificent Potala Palace, the palace is more than 117 meters (384 feet) in height and 360 (1180 feet) in width, occupying a building space of 90 thousand square meters. In 641, after marrying Princess Wencheng, Songtsen Gampo decided to build a grand palace to accommodate her and let his descendants remember the event. However, the original palace was destroyed due to a lightening strike and succeeding warfare during Landama's reign. In the seventeenth century under the reign of the Fifth Dalai Lama, Potala was rebuilt. The Thirteenth Dalai Lama expanded it to today's scale. Then continue to the Jokhang Temple, the Barkhor Street and the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. The Jokhang Temple lies at the center of the old Lhasa. Built in 647 by Songtsen Gampo and his two foreign wives, it has a history of more than 1,300 years. Not far from the Jokhang Temple, you will find the famous Barkhor Street. Barkhor is a circular street, which is the oldest street in Lhasa and remains very traditional. It is a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a must sightseeing destination for tourists. You will also not miss the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. In this hospital, visitors will see Tibetan doctors treat patients with their traditional ways of acupuncture, bloodletting and moxibustion. (B, L)
 
  Day 09: Lhasa/ Shanghai  
This morning, take a tour to the Tibet Museum. After lunch, a comfortable airport transfer will be arranged and board a flight to Shanghai. Our guide in Shanghai will wait for you at the airport with warmly greeting and transfer you to check in at the 5-Star Howard Johnson Business Hotel. We intend to leave the dinner on your side to find some local flavor on your own. (B, L)

   Day 10 - Shanghai

Unique aspect of Shanghai  


The morning tour will include the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. Covering a construction space of 38,000 square meters, the Shanghai museum is 29.5 meters high with five floors aboveground and two floors underground. Following the museum, our guide will take you to the Yuyuan Garden. This garden each year attracts countless visitors from home and abroad. There are altogether 30 scenic spots scattered throughout this garden. The Five-dragon-wall subdivides the garden into six area including the Grand Rockery, Ten Thousand-Flower Pavilion, Hall of Heralding Spring, Hall of Jade Magnificence, Inner Garden, and Lotus Pool. After an elaborate a la carte lunch, take a walk to the Bund, the Nanjing Road and an old street in Shanghai. The Bund is regarded as a landmark as well as the birthplace of Shanghai. With a length of 1 kilometer, the bund is dotted with various grandiose, solid buildings of western style dating back to the early 20th century. Due to these imposing buildings, the bund is also reputed as "an international exhibition of architecture". Our guide will transfer you back to the hotel and say good-bye to you. If you have any question, you may ask your guide and get some advice from him/her. (B, L)

   Day 11 - Exit Shanghai
After breakfast, pack your luggage and check out the hotel before 12 o'clock, take a shuttle bus or taxi to get to the airport, you may also get some transportation information from the hotel before you leave. Then board your homeward flight and your pleasant China tour ends here. However, if you plan to explore China further, our tour operator will be pleased to arrange you a private extension tour upon request. (B)
