Day 01- Entry Beijing

After your international flight lands, our guide will give you a warm welcome at the Beijing airport. Transfer you to the best Holiday Inn hotel in Beijing - Holiday Inn Central Plaza (4-star). Take your time to have a brief impression of this city.

Day 02 - Beijing
After breakfast, a pre-tour brief introduction is presented at your hotel. Start with the Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. This palace had been functioned as the administrative center of the country as well as the pleasure home of the emperors and empresses for five centuries. After an a la carte lunch served at a local restaurant, continue visiting the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. It is enclosed with a long wall. The northern part within the wall is semicircular symbolizing the heavens and the southern part is square symbolizing the earth. The design reflected an ancient Chinese thought of "The heaven is round and the earth is square". Tonight, a lively Chinese Kung fu show at Red Theatre is prepared for you. (B, L)

Day 03 - Beijing
Visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall, the essence of the Great Wall. As a part of great defense project in ancient China, the Badaling section was an important military pass in Ming Dynasty and the providing a shield for the capital. After getting some lore about ancient Chinese military, you will have a tasty lunch at a local popular Sichuan food restaurant. In the afternoon, go on with the Sacred Way and the Dingling Tomb, one of the 13 famous mausoleums of emperors in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Because of its long history, palatial and integrated architecture, the site has a high cultural and historic value. Don't forget to take some photos of appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) on the way back to the downtown area. With a pattern as the "nest" breeding life, it is more like a cradle, a spiritual sustenance of our hope for the future. (B, L)

Day 04 - Beijing/ Xian

Start with the Summer Palace today. As an imperial paradise of hills and waters, the Summer Palace has absorbed the essence of architectures from all over the China. It is the king of the four major Chinese gardens. At noon, you will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant. Afterwards, take a close look at the local people’s family during the Hutong tour. Then take a flight to Xian and be met to check in at the 4-star Grand New World Hotel. (B, L)

Day 05 - Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, where you will enjoy the mystery of colored painting widely used by China's working people more than 2,000 years ago. All these figures of terracotta are rich in artistic charm. Afterwards, an authentic homely cooked lunch awaits you at a local family. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. Having a simple style and imposing grandeur, this Pagoda is a rare masterpiece among the Buddhist constructive art in China. Tonight, you will enjoy the Dumpling Dinner and the wonderful Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (Tips: Dumplings are a traditional local food in northern China and are made of wheat flour with various indigenous fillings. This has long been a favorite food of the local people, so we have arranged for you to have a taste of this specialty today. You will also have an opportunity to learn more about the diversified Chinese food culture. However, we suggest you do not expect too much from this dinner, it is just a new and different experience during your trip.) (B, L, D)

Day 06 - Xian/Lhasa

Take a morning flight to Lhasa and transfer to the local best 4-star Gang-gyan Lhasa Hotel. To ensure that you will have an enough rest to adapt to the high altitude, we leave the rest day for free time. Since you just arrive in Lhasa, we suggest you not take a shower on the arrival day. (B)

Day 07 - Lhasa
Visit the Norbulingka Park which is known as the "Summer Palace" of the Tibet. As the largest man-made garden of Tibet, it has the best scenery and the most historic sites. In the afternoon go on to visit the Sera Monastery, one of the three major Tibetan Buddhist temples in the city. Then a typical Tibetan family visit will deepen your impression of Tibetan's folkways and customs. At night, you will have a chance to appreciate a Tibetan dance and fashion show when you enjoy a special dinner. (B, L, D)

Day 08 - Lhasa

Today is started with the world-renowed Potala Palace. The palace was originally built in the 7th century AD for the King Songtsen Gampo and his queen, and it is now a priceless palace of art contains precious cultural relics and Buddhism artworks. After lunch, you will be transferred to visit Jokhang Temple which is the spiritual center of Tibet. Everyday you can see pilgrims from every corner of Tibet to pilgrimage clockwise around the temple. The Barkhor Street is just outside the Jokhang Temple and you will have some free time there. After you visit the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital, today's tour comes to an end. (B, L)

Day 09 - Exit Lhasa
Visit the Tibet Museum in the morning. Displaying more than 1,000 pieces of cultural relics, the museum shows you directly the Tibetan charming and splendid culture and its long history. It is also the first museum in Tibet equipped with modern facilities. Then your guide will see you off at the airport.
