Day by Day Itinerary


  Day 01- Entry Beijing
Once you arrive in China, you will be welcomed by our professional guide. A sign with our logo and your name on it will help you recognize your guide. After you check in at a 3-star Forbidden Hotel Beijing, for the rest of time, it is suggested to have a good rest to drive away the drowsiness and restore energy.  


  Day 02 - Beijing
As a beginning, you will have a short report and start to know the other group members at the hall in the hotel. When you pass across the venerable Tian’anmen Square – having a history of more than 500 years, the splendid royal palace – Forbidden City is presented to your sight. As the imperial palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties, Forbidden City now is officially called “Palace Museum”. But surely it is more than a museum. This world’s largest and most complete ancient architectural complex has witnessed and experienced the historical vicissitudes of late feudal society. In the afternoon, drive to the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group - Temple of Heaven. At night, a fabulous and exciting acrobatic show will follow a yummy dinner. (B, L, D)


  Day 03 - Beijing
When you finish your breakfast at hotel, you will be taken to the quintessence section of the Great Wall- Badaling Section. Structured by large bar stones, Badaling became an important military pass and protective barrier to the capital since Ming Dynasty (1368 AD - 1644AD). It was also listed in the "World Cultural heritage" in 1961. To help you keep the energy for the afternoon, our well-selected local Sichuan restaurant will serve you a tasty lunch. Whereafter, you will walk along the Sacred Road - the way leading to heaven and also visit the Ming Tomb, which is in fact underground and about 27 meters deep. On your way back, you will have a chance to observe the appearance of the National Stadium and feel the Olympic spirit. For today's dinner, we will spend CNY122.00 net per person to arrange you a delicious Beijing Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant. (B, L, D)


  Day 04 - Beijing/ Xian
On the morning of your last day in Beijing, sightsee in the well-known Royal Garden Museum - the Summer Palace. When you walk in this beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains, you will be captivated by this classical Chinese garden architecture. After you see the lovely national treasure - pandas in Beijing zoo, board the flight to Xian and transfer to the 4-star Grand New World Hotel. Likewise, your Xian guide will provide airport pick-up service with comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle. Take your dinner and have a good night. (B, L, D)
 

  Day 05 - Xian
Today, you will have a chance to admire the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, which is hailed as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum is not only the largest underground military museum in the world, but also reflects the glory and prosperity of ancient Chang'an. In afternoon, when you come back to the downtown area, continue to visit another historical interest - the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This grand body of the pagoda was constructed by bricks but no cement. Pictures of the Heavenly King and of Buddha are on the doorframe sand horizontal bars on four sides of the pagoda's base. These stone sculptures display peak workmanship, and show vivid shapes and smooth lines. They now serve as an important source of material for the study of painting and sculpture of the Tang Dynasty. When the dark falls, you will end today's activities by a local speciality Dumpling Banquet and a charming Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Performance. (B, L, D) 


  Day 06 - Xian
Visit the imposing and ancient City Wall this morning. Having a history of longer than 600 years, this city wall used to form a complex and well-organized system of defense. When you stand on it, you can see a wonderful panorama of this city. Finishing your a la carte lunch valued at CNY60.00, you will continue with a local family and the Great Mosque. The former tells how common people lead a life in Xian. Not corroded by the uproar of the modern world around, it still keeps the primitive simplicity and purity, and solemn. Afterwards, you have to walk around in the Muslim Street, just near the Mosque because it has been said that as long as you went to this Muslim Street, you will have no regrets about the Xi’an refreshments. Also, you will find some desirable souvenirs for your family and friends. (B, L, D)
 

  Day 07 - Xian/ Guilin
Before you leave for Guilin by air, visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi, on the way to the airport. The Guilin guide will meet you and company you by car to the 4-star Guilin Bravo Hotel.  Take a good rest tonight. (B, L, D)


  Day 08 - Guilin
Your activities today mainly focus in the city. The first stop is the Reed Flute Cave. Walking on the zigzag path in this natural solution cavity, you will marvel at those fantastic and mysterious stone formations. It is also a pleasure to listen to romantic or fairy tales and exert your imagination during your trip. The next stop is the Seven Star Park, where seven peaks are scattered as the Big Dipper. This charming park now is a great favorite with the local people and tourists alike. Let’s call it a day by visiting the Elephant Trunk Hill, which is considered as the symbol of Guilin scenery.   Day 09 - Guilin/ Yangshuo
For a long time, Lijiang Cruise has been the most typical representative of China's splendid scenery. It is also the soul and essence of Guilin landscape. Today you have a chance to be keenly aware of her extraordinary graces by taking the cruise down to Yangshuo from Guilin. We propose you have a big breakfast at the hotel because the lunch offered on the ship might be less desirable. Go ashore after you arrive in Yangshuo and handle your check-in procedure at the 4-star New Century Hotel. To enjoy the beautiful rural scenery in Yangshuo, we specially arrange you a cycling trip to the countryside. If you are not very capable of riding a bicycle, take an electric car as another choice. On the way, have a visit at a localite’s family. (B, L, D)


  Day 10 - Guilin/ Shanghai
You will be taken to the Guilin airport directly and fly to Shanghai. Your Shanghai guide will also meet you when you land there. Being transferred to and checking in the 4-star Ya Fan Long Men Hotel. , you will take a look at the Xin Tian Di area, where old-fashioned tradition and contemporary modern are perfectly combined. This is also a good place for you to find a restaurant with pleasant ambience to enjoy your dinner. (B, L)
 

  Day 11 - Shanghai
This morning, you will visit Shanghai Museum and Yuyuan Garden orderly. As one of the four most famous museums in China, this museum collects nearly 120,000 cultural relics of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, calligraphy and ancient sculptures. After visiting and observing the Shanghai Museum which enjoys her reputation both at home and abroad, you will continue with the Yuyuan Garden- the most celebrated classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. You will be impressed by the exquisite layout, beautiful scenery and artistic architecture there. Before taken back to your hotel, take a ramble at the Bund area. The Huangpu River, the causeway, green belt and those diverse and stunning architectural complexes form a streetscape which is the most typical of Shanghai view. After the whole day sightseeing, have your dinner at hotel and say goodbye to your guide and driver. (B, L, D)


  Day 12 - Exit Shanghai
Today you need to go to the airport and board the flight home by yourselves. Alternatively, our tour counselors are happy to arrange you the private extensive tour if you need. (B)


Tips:
In Shanghai there are two airports: Hongqiao Airport (SHA) and Pudong Airport (PVG). Please make sure you will go to the right one before departure. You may book a taxi through your hotel reception to avoid any long waiting at the gate. The rate is about CNY150 - 170 for one hour's drive to PVG and CNY30.00 for 20 minutes drive to SHA. Alternatively, you may take the hotel shuttle bus to the airport. It is less expensive. Please contact the hotel reception for more information.
