Day by Day Itinerary


Departure: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday


 Day 01 - Entry Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer you to the 4 star Ning Xia hotel in Beijing. The rest of the day is free.


 Day 02 - Beijing
After breakfast, a pre-tour briefing is presented at your hotel. Visit the Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Tonight, we will spend CNY122.00 net per person to arrange you a delicious Beijing Duck Dinner at the century-old Quan Ju De restaurant. Following the dinner is the enlightened Peking Opera Performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B, L, D)


 Day 03 - Beijing
This morning, visit the Badaling Great Wall. To help you keep the energy for the afternoon, our well-selected local Sichuan restaurant will serve you a tasty lunch. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. Dinner is arranged at the prosperous Wangfujing area and free time is given there. (B, L, D)


 Day 04 - Beijing/ Xian
Visit the Summer Palace and the Pandas. Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the 4 star Grand New World Hotel. We will spend CNY60.00 net per person to arrange you a la carte dinner at a local Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B, L, D)


 Day 05 - Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the mighty City Wall. Tonight, you will be treated to a Dumpling Banquet and a wonderful Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B, L, D)


 Day 06 - Xian/ Chongqing
Visit the Great Mosque and the Provincial History Museum. Take a flight to Chongqing and transfer to the downtown. Before boarding the 5-star German-made China Regal cruise ship, dinner is served on board. (B, L, D)


 Day 07 - Chongqing/ Fengdu
At 08:00 am your memorable Yangtze River tour begins. In the afternoon the ship will stop at Fengdu, where you will visit the Ghost City, famous for its temple dedicated to the King of the Underworld, an association dating back to the Han Dynasty. (B, L, D)


 Day 08 - Badong/ Xiling Gorge/ Sandouping
 You will visit Badong and take a small junk for a close-up view of the breath-taking natural splendors along the Shennong Stream. You are sure to be impressed by the dexterity the team of trackers as they push and haul the wooden sampans over the rapids. Back to China Regal to continue your cruise into the western section of the Xiling Gorge and pass through the five-step ship lock. (B, L, D)


 Day 09 - Sandouping/ Yichang
This morning, disembark for visit the Three Gorges Dam Project to be completed by the year 2009. This hydroelectric project is largest one of this kind in the world. You will marvel at its sheer size and the splendid discharge flood. Back the ship and continue to sail through the eastern section of the Xiling Gorge in grand scenery. (B, L, D)


 Day 10 - Wuhan/ Shanghai
The ship is scheduled to reach Wuhan at about 12:00, your unforgettable Yangtze tour will be concluded. Enjoy the rest of leisure time and please pay attention to the announcement to follow the check-out procedures.Our tour guide will meet you on board and transfer you to have lunch firstly. After visit the Hubei Provincial Museum, take a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met at the Shanghai airport and transfer to the well-situated 3 star Zhong Ya Hotel. As for evening, you could make use of the time to taste the modern atmosphere on your own. (B, L)


 Day 11 - Shanghai
You will visit the Shanghai Museum, the beautiful Yuyuan Garden, a local family and the Bund. After sightseeing, you are invited to enjoy the Farewell Dinner. Following the dinner is a fascinating Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. Upon returning to the hotel our tour guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage. (B, L, D)


 Day 12 - Exit
After breakfast, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight by yourselves. However, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, our tour counsellors are glad to recommend our City Tour Package as an extension to your China adventure! (B)


Tips:
In Shanghai there are two airports: Hongqiao Airport (SHA) and Pudong Airport (PVG). Please make sure you will go to the right one before departure. You may book a taxi through your hotel reception to avoid any long waiting at the gate. The rate is about CNY150 - 170 for one hour's drive to PVG and CNY30.00 for 20 minutes drive to SHA. Alternatively, you may take the hotel shuttle bus to the airport. It is less expensive. Please contact the hotel reception for more information.
