Day 08 - Chongqing/ Guilin

Usually, the cruise will arrive at Chaotianmen Dock in Chongqing city between 08:30 and 09:00. The luggage need to be packed in advance, for more information, you may follow the notification on the cruise. The guide will pick you up at the dock. Visit the lovely and precious pandas in the Chonqging Zoo.
Then, trace the life of General Joseph W. Stilwell by visiting his former residence in Chonqging city. After lunch at the local famous restaurant, take flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. After dinner, the evening Ethnic Songs and Dances Show at Lijiang Theater will give you the first impression of Guilin. (B, L)


Day 09 - Guilin/ Yangshuo/ Guilin
Start the unforgettable cruise trip to Yangshuo and fully enjoy the spectacular views along the Li River. Lunch will be served on the cruise ship although it is poor than the meals on land. Upon arrival, you will start a countryside trip by cycling. It is sure the best way to relax yourself in the stunning scenery. If you are not good at cycling, you may also take the battery car. Transfer back to Guilin and check in the hotel. The evening is on your own.

Day 10 - Guilin/ Xian
Daytime will be scheduled for the sightseeing in Guilin city. You will have about one hour in the Reed Flue Cave- a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations formed by carbonate deposition. Then drive to visit the Seven Star Park which is the largest comprehensive park with various scenery and landform in Guilin. The last stop will be the landmark of the city-the Elephant Trunk Hill. Do not miss taking a picture with the background of the vivid elephant trunk hill. Fly to Xian. Meet the Xian guide and transfer to the comfortable hotels. On the way, get your first impression of the ancient world-famous city. (B, L,D)

 Day 11 - Xian
Drive to Lintong District which is on the east of Xian city and start the exciting tour to the Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. Enjoy your time by visiting the unearthed worksite lobby including the Pit one, Pit Two, Pit Three one by one. On the right side of the gate, you will find the Bronze Chariots and Horses Hall with large collection of the relevant cultural relic and the Bronze Chariots and Horses are the highlights. Drive back to the downtown and have a nice lunch well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. Then, visit the Bigwild Goose Pagoda in the Da Ci En Temple and the best preserved city wall in China.  (B, L, D)

 

Day 12 - Xian/ Lhasa
On the way to the airport, visit the Hanyangling Museum which is the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. After lunch, fly to Lhasa. Our guide in Lhasa will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest day is for you to relax in the hotel and have dinner inside the hotel. (Tip: As breath may become difficult for some people in Lhasa with a high altitudes of 3,650 meters above sea level as well as foreigners are not allowed to visit Tibet on their own, staying in the hotel will be the best choice for the rest day.) Day 13 - Lhasa
The highlights tour today will first cover the Tibet Museum and and the Carpet Factory. Later, when visiting the Sera Monastery, the relevant legend of the it may arouse your interest in this monastery which was once built for housing treasures by in 1419. The last stop to the Norbulingka Park will focus on the eye-catching buildings there with an mixture construction style of Han Dynasty and traditional Tibetan architecture with its interior modern facilities. When finishing the day tour today, you will have a good rest and the a la carte dinner in the local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant.(B, L, D)

 Day 14 - Lhasa
What must visit sites in Lhasa is the significant Potala Palace as it was the religious and political center of old Tibet and the winter palace of Dalai Lama. You will stay one hour inside without taking pictures, which are the local rules. Then visit the Jokhang Temple which is the most important and a must-see temple in Lhasa. Then have some free time visiting the bustling bazaar along the Barkhor Street which is a ideal place o buy some souvenirs. The next stop will be the and the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. A rough lecture on the Tibetan Traditional Medicine may deepen your impression on the mysterious Tibet. Dinner wil be served at the hotel.  (B, L, D)


Day 15 - Lhasa/ Beijing
The mysterious Lhasa travel ends with a visit to a Tibetan family. After a homey chatting with the family members in the traditional house, a deeper and vivid experience of the original local life will impress on you. Then the comfortable private drive will send you to take the flight to Beijing. Our guide in Beijing will meet you upon your arrival and transfer you to the hotel.(B, L)

 

Day 16 - Beijing
City tour today includes the world's largest and grandest Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the former royal temple named the Temple of Heaven. The Forbidden City is a rectangular city encircled in a 52-meter-long, 6-meter-deep moat and a 10-meter-high, 3,400-meter-long city wall which has one gate on each side. There are four unique and delicate structured corner towers overlooking the city inside and outside on the four corners. The guide will show the city by the most classic travel route. Before enjoying a lively Peking Opera in the evening, try the mouth-watering Beijing Dark Dinner at a well-known restaurant. (B, L, D)

 

Day 17 - Beijing
Drive northeastward to visit the Great Wall which runs across the northern part of Beijing for over six hundred kilometers with various passes and towers. The section you visit will be the best-preserved Badaling section. To avoid eatting at the shopping site tourist restaurants, drive to try the popular Sichuan food in our well-selected restaurant. Afterwards, you will have a chance to walk by the Sared Path and get into Dingling and you will feel surprised at the wonders in the Underground Palace of Ming Dynasty. Drive back to the downtown and see the appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) at a distance. (B, L, D)

Day 18 - Exit Beijing
Visit the Summer Palace and see off by your homeward flight. The happy tour ends here. (B)
