Travel to China is wonderful, especially to take a short trip to its capital city- Beijing is just fabulous. Your exciting Beijing tour will begin the prologue after your flight land in the Beijing Capital Airport. You will be met by our professional guide and skillful driver after you pass through the baggage claim area. Then you will be taken to a reputed hotel to have a good rest with comfortable transfer. You may take a bath to relax or stroll around the famous Wangfujin Avenue and taste some local flavor if you like.
Tiananmen Square, Beijing
This morning, after having breakfast served in the hotel, you will be taken to visit the indispensable place - Tiananmen Square. It is a pity if you come to Beijing without the visit to this site. After going through the center of the square, you will see the Monument of the Peoples Heroes and the Great Hall of People in the west.
Then continue the way and you will have a highlight visit to the Forbidden City, which dominating the heart of the city and it is a range of well-preserved palace architecture of the Ming and Qing dynasties. According to the record, it is the largest emperors palace of the same kind in China. The original palaces were constructed during the Ming period (1368 - 1644) over 560 years ago and the present complex was the result of several extensions in the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911). The Forbidden City is the first site for you to know the Royal Emperor in the past. You will enjoy an a la carte lunch at a nice restaurant.
In the afternoon, the following visit to the Temple of Heaven is also a good place to strengthen your knowledge on ancient China. The most magnificent complex in the Temple of Heaven are The Circular Mound Altar (Yuanqiutan), Imperial Vault of Heaven (Huangqiongyu) and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest (Qiniandian) from south to north. You will take this opportunity to have a close contact with this ancient heritage. You will enjoy the Chinese Kungfu Show at Red Theater tonight. (B. L)

After your breakfast in the hotel, you will be driven out of the downtown to appreciate the grand and well-known Badaling Great Wall section, which was the earliest section open to the tourists among all the parts of the whole Great Wall. 130 million tourists from China and abroad have visited Badaling; 370 foreign leaders and very important persons have once climbed Badaling successively. Climbing up the Great Wall by numerous steps, you will see different scenery at different altitude. Your lunch is also a surprise for you. Instead of taking lunch in the crowded tourist restaurant, your guide and driver will take you to a local famous restaurant to taste the Sichuan food.
After lunch, visit the Sacred Way for refreshing. The name seems mysterious and holy, while it got this name just because this is the path leading to the Emperors mausoleum. Vivid royal ministers and animals were sculptured by stones to guard their Emperor for their afterlife. At the end of the Sacred Way, you will visit the Ming Tomb - the combined mausoleums for 13 emperors in the Ming Dynasty. Admittedly, the magnificent underground palace of Dingling is another must for tourists. On the way back to the hotel, you will have a chance to see the outside appearance of the Birds Nest, where the successful 2008 Olympic Games just held in this world-renown National Stadium. (B, L)
The last visit for your Beijing travel is the skillfully-built imperial garden - the Summer Palace, which is also reputed as the best preserved Museum of Imperial Garden Architecture in China. Numerous artisans applied their wits to create a harmonious atmosphere when design this garden by combining architectures styles of various gardens, that is the reason why this masterpiece could be seen today. You will admire the ancient Chinese peoples wisdom after your visit to this royal Palace. Then you will be transferred to the Capital airport to board your international flight.
