The 22nd Yanqing Ice and Snow Tourism Festival to Begin
The 22nd Yanqing Ice and Snow Tourism Festival is to be held in and around Yanqing County of Beijing from December 10th, 2007 to the end of February, 2008.
During the festival, a series of activities will be held in Longqing Gorge, Shijinglong (石京龙) Ski Resort, Badaling (八达岭) Ski Resort and Xiadu (夏都) Park, including climbing Badaling Great Wall, ice lights admiring, ice and snow playing, hot spring soaking and New Year celebrating.
In addition, Longqing Gorge will hold the annual ice lantern festival then. On the theme of ‘2008 Beijing Olympic Games’, over 400 pieces of ice-lantern artworks will be exhibited in four exhibition areas.

Hangzhou-Nanjing CRH Trains is to be opened on December 1st, 2007, when it will only take four hours to travel between the two cities.
The train is made up of eight carriages which can carry 611 passengers. The ticket price of the whole trip is CNY 187 for the first class carriages and CNY 156 for the second class.

As of December 25th, the pre-sale period of all the train tickets agencies in Xian will be adjusted from ten days to five days. Meanwhile, tickets from other places to Xian can't be bought in Xian any longer.

China National Gymnasium is opened to the public today (November 28th).
As of November 28th, a series of International Invitational Tournaments will be held in the gymnasium, including gymnastics, trampoline, handball and wheelchair basketball competitions. 104 athletes from 21 countries and regions will take part in the competitions.
