 Day 02: Libreville - Evengue Island

Fly to Omboue. Check in at the local lodge and then take a boat to the Evengue Island, the gorilla sanctuary island. Have a bush walk to the gorilla living area for a visit of gorillas. Then explore the island by kayak.
 

 

 Day 03: Evengue Island - Loango National Park

This morning a boat over Mioivie River will take you to the small town St. Anne. Visit the iron church and the bamboo cathedral. After lunch, take a boat to Loango National Park via rainforests and you can see monkeys, crocodiles and various kinds of birds.
 

 

Drive to Tassi Savannah Camp in wet season (October-April). En route, view elephants, buffaloes and various kinds of birds. You can also visit the Max Planck Institute. Drive to Akaka Forest Camp in dry season (May-September) across lagoons. You can see butterflies and various kinds of birds.
 

 

Take a full day to explore Tassi Savannah Camp. You can see gorillas and chimpanzees. A visit to the Louri Area is also recommended and you can see buffaloes, hippos and elephants. Take a full day to explore Akaka Forest Camp. You can have a forest walk and a kayak tour on the Rembo Ngowe and Rembo Echira River. Buffalos and elephants will feast your eyes.
 

 

Drive to Loango National Park in the early afternoon. You can have a walk tour to the mangroves and take a kayak on the lagoon.
 

 

Take a boat to Point St. Catherine Beach Camp. Relax in the beach. You can also have a swimming here.
 

 

Drive to the Lguela and then fly to Lope. Upon your arrival, check in at a local hotel. Then have a walk tour in the Marantaceae Forest and drive in the savannah. 
 

 

Continue visiting in the Lope National Park in the morning. Then drive to Mikongo Camp. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
 

 

A full day walk tour in the Mikongo Camp. You can see the mandrills, gorillas, chimpanzees, crocodiles and the Gabon vipers. 
 

 

 Day 11: Mikongo Camp - Lope National Park

Drive to Lope National Park. Then visit the Eco Museum.
 

 

Explore the park in the morning. You can see mandrill, gorilla and elephants. Then take an afternoon train to Libreville.
 

 

 Day 13: Libreville / Exit

Arrive in Libreville in the morning and your tour ends here.
