1. Q: What is tipping practice for visitors to China?

A: It is a common practice for visitors to tip the tour guide and driver in recognition of their good service. Hotel bellboy expects your tips as well. It is not customary to leave tips at hotel or local restaurant as the bill usually includes 10-15% service charge.

2. Q: Do I have to tip when join an organized tour?

A: Yes, you need to tip even though you join an organized tour.

The quotation we offered doesn't include the tips for the guides and drivers. So if you are satisfactory with their service, you need to tip them yourself.
