Xilitu Zhao was built in a traditional layout of the Han's architectural style. The splendid Grand Sutra Hall (Dajing Tang) is its main body. The hall is decorated with color-glazed bricks, in front of which lies a virtue stele bestowed by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

To the east of the hall, there stands a white stupa at a height of 15 meters (49 feet). Built with carved white marble stones, the stupa is a majestic sight.
