Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel and have a good rest. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
 

 

This morning visit the Dantokpa Market and the Central Mosque. You can also explore the Artisans’ Center. Then visit Ganvie village.
 

 

 Day 03: Cotonou - Alladah - Cotonou

Drive to Alladah and visit the birthplace of Toussaint L'overture, who is the first president of Haiti. Head back to Cotonou.
 

 

After breakfast, drive to Porto Novo. Start today’s tour of visiting Ethnographic Museum and the Brazilian Church. Then visit the Palace of King Toffa. Head back to Cotonou.
 

 

Drive to Ouidah. Have a full day tour of Ouidah. Start by visiting the Museum in the old Portuguese fort and the temple of pythons. Then visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Afterwards have a sight-seeing of “Slave Road” and visit the slavery memorial of Zoungbodji. Drive back to Cotonou.
 

 

Drive to Abomey. Visit the Daho-Donou Museum. Then visit the Royal Palace Museum and the artisans’ center. Stay overnight in Abomey.
